On March 20, the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) published its “Synthesis Report” to great media fanfare. Supposedly intended to summarize the first three working group reports of the Sixth Assessment Report (AR6) released over the past two years, the Synthesis Report was promoted with sensationalist claims by UN insiders. IPCC Chair Hoesung-Lee said,
“This Synthesis Report underscores the urgency of taking more ambitious action and shows that, if we act now, we can still secure a liveable, sustainable future for all.”
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres went further and asserted,
“Humanity is on thin ice — and that ice is melting fast. Our world needs climate action on all fronts — everything, everywhere, all at once.”
But the authors of the AR6 Synthesis Report simply fabricated claims that were never actually in the reports they were supposed to be summarizing. Their report is, therefore, political propaganda that has little in common with real science, observational evidence, or even previous IPCC work.
To discuss what is happening inside the IPCC, why it is happening, and what the results will be if governments continue basing trillion-dollar public policy on these unscientific documents, I have invited Dr. Sterling Burnett of The Heartland Institute to be my guest today.
Sterling is the Director of the Arthur B. Robinson Center on Climate and Environmental Policy and the Managing Editor of Environment & Climate News. Before joining Heartland, he worked at the National Center for Policy Analysis for 18 years, most recently as a senior fellow in charge of their environmental policy program.
Sterling has published hundreds of articles in newspapers and professional journals and has been interviewed on radio and television more than 100 times. He received his Doctorate in Applied Philosophy from Bowling Green State University. To learn more about Dr. Burnett, click on the first link below.
Tune in today to get the information you need to thoroughly refute the UN’s latest climate report.
