Atifete Jahjaga, the third President of Kosovo, said,

“Democracy must be built through open societies that share information. When there is information, there is enlightenment. When there is debate, there are solutions. When there is no sharing of power, no rule of law, no accountability, there is abuse, corruption, subjugation, and indignation.”

Former President Jahjaga would thoroughly approve of Quora, the Mountain View, California-based social question-and-answer website. Unlike Facebook, Twitter, and most social media, Quora allows, even encourages, open questioning and discussion of topics as varied as how to boil a potato, childhood bullying, and the real causes and consequences of climate change. In addition, you can post things never tolerated in mainstream media. Here is an example from Quora:

Can you say something good about Donald Trump?

Greg Freemyer

Science and engineering enthusiast, math guy, LNG, Nat Gas:

“Have you seen this yet? Read the textual info.

“Trump may be loud and obnoxious, but unlike the last 5 US Presidents, he hasn’t started a war or initiated a major military operation.”

This post has received almost half a million views and 10,182 “upvotes.” In contrast, Tom Harris tried posting something similar on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) website and, not only was the posting quickly deleted by woke moderators but, when Tom said he would expose the censorship and that he had violated no CBC rules, was banned for life from posting on the site.

Our guest this week, Terigi Ciccone, Engineer/Scientist/Artist/EX-Sierra/author on climate, has been taking advantage of Quora’s openness to truthfully answer questions such as:

“President Biden and advocates of the Green New Deal say we must accelerate our Green New Deal energy policies to prevent the looming threat of global warming. Do you agree with that?”

“Why isn’t the extra CO2 in the atmosphere being absorbed by plants? Why is it causing global warming?”

To learn how you, too, can benefit from this wonder social media source, join Dr. Jay Lehr and Tom Harris this week with our guest Terigi Ciccone!
