Living in a republic means electing representatives to exercise our power in our name. So what happens when we don’t hold our employees in check? When we allow Congress to start making up their own rules about what they can and cannot do, we not only lose our representation, but we are no longer a self-governing people. From Congress claiming the ability to enact new powers via legislation, the intimidation of our fellow citizens, to the size of the House of Representatives, these are acts in violation of the Constitution. That means that these acts are void. So what are the American people and their states doing to ensure that they are effectively represented in our national legislature?
