Never underestimate the will of the people to stand up and fight especially when it comes to fighting for their country. We look no further than Ukraine as an example. The Ukrainians are literally in a fight to save their beloved country from the hands of the ruthless dictator Vladimir Putin. Many had thought the government would fall within days or hours when Putin’s army, which is the fifth-largest in the world, started their invasion. But thus far, Ukraine has fought valiantly for its nation.
Fnu Milat, an Afghani, understands what the Ukrainian people are going through. He joins the hosts of “After Dark” to share his thoughts as his country Afghanistan faced a similar assault when the terrorist group the Taliban seized control. Milat said the only difference is that the Ukrainian people stay behind to fight for their country. Milat said the Ukrainian people are probably experiencing a great deal of uncertainty and are afraid, but they have the will to stay and fight, which he said he wished his country could have done, but the Taliban’s hold was too strong.
Now Milat is living in America. A country he describes as being the greatest on Earth despite the problems many say it has. He said he had always longed to come to America as a child, and now he is here. He is currently in the process of relocating his family here. As for Ukraine, he prays for the people and peace.
Fnu Milat is a former interpreter for the US Army. Milat proudly served the United States military as an interpreter from 2012 to 2014. As a little boy, he had always dreamed of helping the United States military and went through all the schooling necessary to become an interpreter. He now lives in the United States.
