I want to preface this comment by saying, I am Black, 70 years old, born and live in East Austin, Texas.    WG continually points at the Lyndon Johnson era War on Poverty programs. The fact that 60 years later Biden has the same mindset as LBJ,  questionable overall Black progress (making .75 of White income), ‘throw more money’ on the problem to mitigate it.

Providing Immediate Relief to Black People and Families through the American Rescue Plan. The ARP provides cash relief directly to low- and middle-income Americans, and has cut Black child poverty by 30.2%, lifting more than 1 million Black children out of poverty in October alone.
 
 
Leveraging Federal Procurement to Narrow the Racial Wealth Gap for Black Entrepreneurs and Families. Recognizing that the federal government spends more than $650 billion each year on purchasing goods and services, President Biden has directed agencies to use federal purchasing power to grow federal contracting with small disadvantaged businesses, including Black-owned businesses, by 50%, translating to an additional $100 billion over five years 

 

• Historic Support for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Since January, the Biden-Harris Administration has delivered a historic $5.8 billion cumulative investment in and support for HBCUs, including:

Support for Community Violence Intervention (CVI) Programs. Black boys and young men ages 15-34 make up 2% of the population but are 37% of homicide victims, and homicide is the leading cause of death for Black men under the age of 45. Until this Administration, however, CVI programs like violence interrupters and hospital-based programs, which are demonstrated to reduce violence by up to 60%, have been badly underfunded.

 
Biden taking on the LBJ era War on Poverty burden, trying to make things right/just regarding the Whites burdens regarding past wrongs. But our (Blacks) own burden is also one of sin and self hatred fueled daily by rap music, guns violence and sex on TV that has a more negative impact on Black youths than Whites, and the disintegration of the Black family units in shackles as we were prodded towards the slave ships while still in Africa, the untold number of rapes during the four months voyages to America, and 350 years of rapes of Black women throughout Brazil and the Caribbean to create a race of mulattoes, to say nothing of North America. Money can’t correct that.                                                                                                
                                                                                                                                              
One of our biggest problem is what we call in the Black community, Blacks continually doing that same old foolish n____ b__ s___’. Running from police during traffic stops, selling drugs when you know there are mandatory prison sentences, just plain old ‘negro’ stupidity.  If Joe, LBJ, and critical race theory can’t help Blacks, how about meeting us halfway by using CRISPr (mandatory removal on any Neanderthal genes) on the officer who recently put ‘one’ into the back of the head of the young fellow in Grand Rapids over a traffic stop? Meet us halfway.                              
                                                                                                                       
My take is that you can’t renige on the 1960/1970s promise of Urban Renewal, and have city governments and universities implicitly and explicitly participate in the gentrification of Black communities (worse than apartheid) using the new White racist venture capital companies (not all are racist but many are) as a guise, pass mandatory racist sentencing laws, flood in guns and drugs, and expect positive outcomes in Black communities by ‘throwing money at it’.   The worst is yet to come. Those who the media create as Black leaders such as K. Jackson Brown and Clarence Thomas and Black Lives Matter have nothing to do with the traditional Black communities or our values, and the professional Black athletes selling their souls to White America. Keep up with UT in Austin tearing down their relatively new Frank Ervin basketball center built in the 1970s, and building a brand new one three blocks away.
