New York City is the place of bright lights and shiny stars once considered as being the safest city in the world. Now it is seeing its stars grow dim. Friendly neighborhoods from East to West, Uptown, and Downtown have become breeding grounds of criminal activity and lascivious behavior. And thanks to eight years of Democrat failed policies, places like Times Square, a once jewel for family entertainment and people watching, is unsafe.
A pretty bleak picture, if you are on the outside looking in, but all is not lost. Jackie Toboroff, an energetic fired-up mother of two, has plans to change it all one neighborhood at a time. She joins “After Dark” to discuss her election run.
Toboroff, a Republican, is running to represent New York City Council District 1, which is predominately Democrat, like the city. It is her district that Mayor Bill De Blasio once said he wants to make “less rich and less white.” Needless to say, the New York native, found his words to be divisive and incendiary, for the neighborhoods are already diverse.
She describes New York City under Democrat rule as being horrible. “Traditionally safe areas (neighborhoods) have been decimated,” as a result of, “left progressive policies that are deadly, deadly.” The people who voted for the left and their policies can easily leave the city, she lamented, but others who don’t have the money are left behind.

Toboroff speaks out against the woke culture and its push of Critical Race Theory in schools, which she exclaimed, is in itself racist and discriminatory. Opening up schools and requiring children to wear a mask, she is completely against it and sees it as “child abuse.” While she has been vaccinated and had COVID19, she doesn’t think “forced vaccination” is the answer “it’s an infringement on our rights.”
She compares the left’s actions to push their agenda as equivalent to the “hijacking” Americans during our most vulnerable moments and “it’s time for adult supervision to step in and provide leadership.”
Once elected to the office she said she will:
● Fully fund and support the New York Police Department
● Hold all city agencies accountable
● Cut spending
● Pass a balanced budget
● Ban Critical Race Theory
● Remove all public school syllabi that teach children to hate
Jackie Toboroff is a native New Yorker who grew up on the Upper East Side. She attended New York University and graduated from Parsons with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Her bio describes Republicans as being the party of creative ideas, inclusion, freedom, and small government.
