Whether you like it or not, chances are Monsanto contaminated the food you ate today with chemicals and unlabeled GMOs.
Monsanto controls much of the world’s food supply at the expense of food democracy worldwide.
This information is dedicated to empowering citizens of the world to take action against Monsanto & it’s enablers like the FDA, USDA, EPA, GMA, BIO, and the processed food companies that use Monsanto’s products.
Over the past decades, at least 7 of the highest ranking FDA were employed with Monsanto…Will there ever be any laws or bills created by lawmakers to hold Monsanto accountable for WEAPONIZING our food source?
Genetically modified food is everywhere in America’s supermarkets and restaurants. And since it’s not labeled, most of us have no idea how much of it we’re eating or how much it’s affecting our health.
For decades now, our food has become Weaponized and the rise of chronic disease in Americans has elevated. Once upon a time, food was our medicine, today we have to become smart consumers and know who our trusted markets are to receive the nutritional value out of our products and you better believe you will pay allot more for them.

“You might think the FDA thoroughly tests genetically modified foods to make sure they are safe. In fact, the FDA doesn’t test them at all.
Instead, says Consumer Union’s Jean Halloran, it takes the word of the companies that develop the foods.
“When a company comes in with data, the FDA looks at it and writes a letter saying, “Dear Monsanto, you supplied information regarding the safety of corn variety X and we are confident about what you’ve shown,” Halloran says. “It is your responsibility.”
Monsanto is the world’s largest developer of Genetically Modified Foods.”
In March of 2013, President Obama signed under the cover of darkness, bill into law H.R. 933, which was written in part by the billion dollar corporation, approved in Congress days earlier. Buried 78 pages within the bill exists a provision that grossly protects biotech corporations such as the Missouri-based Monsanto Company from litigation. With the President’s signature, agriculture giants dealing with genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and genetically engineered (GE) seeds are given the go-ahead to continue to plant and sell man made crops, even as questions remain largely unanswered about the health risks these types of products pose to consumers.
The “biotech rider”, which is officially known as the Farmer Assurance Provision, has been derided by opponents of biotech lobbying as the “Monsanto Protection Act,” as it would strip federal courts of the authority to immediately halt the planting and sale of genetically modified (GMO) seed crop regardless of any consumer health concerns, including a provision protecting genetically modified seeds from litigation in the face of health risks. https://www.congress.gov/bill/113th-congress/house-bill/933

They will tell you that Together they
Feed the World and Protect the Planet

The merger of Monsanto with Bayer is expected to create a new company that will control more than a quarter of the world’s seed and pesticides, consolidating unprecedented power over our food system into the hands of one foreign-based multi-national corporation.
“Farmers are facing many complex challenges every day that impact their ability to help feed families around the world. Moving agriculture forward means working closely with nature both today and decades into the future. Over 20,000 employees in 67 countries are using a variety of skills, training, and expertise to help modern agriculture grow and conserve.”
The Bayer merger, which was approved by U.S. antitrust regulators despite widespread concerns from civil organizations, family farmers, and environmental scientists.
Global events have taken place within hundreds of cities on six continents with the objective to further educate and raise awareness about Monsanto’s genetically modified seeds and the increasingly toxic food supply, as well as its merger with the German pesticide, GMO and pharmaceutical giant Bayer.
A recent poll conducted by two former attorneys from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division found that over 93% of farmers are concerned about the Monsanto-Bayer merger, and over 82% are “very concerned.” Their top three concerns are increased market dominance to push additional products, excessive control over farmers’ data, and increased pressure to become reliant on chemical based farming practices.
Another focus of this year’s March will be on glyphosate, the controversial active ingredient in Monsanto’s Roundup that was declared a “probable human carcinogen” by the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer in 2015. After months of legal battles, the state of California recently won the right to force Monsanto to place a cancer warning label on its products, in accordance with the IARC’s previous ruling. Yet this herbicide is still being sprayed in massive amounts and has been detected in air and rain samples, the breast milk of nursing mothers, childhood vaccines, prenatal vitamins, and baby formula, even as over 2,400 cancer related lawsuits have been filed against the St. Louis, Missouri based company.
Glyphosate use has increased 16-fold since the mid-1990s according to U.S. Geological Survey Data.
“Monsanto’s glyphosate has contaminated every facet of our lives. The cancer-causing herbicide has been detected in the air we breathe and many of the organic foods we eat. Our children are directly targeted as is evidenced by the discovery of glyphosate in vaccines, breast milk, and baby formulas. We must rise up and stop this toxic nightmare or we will see generations of overwhelming sickness and premature death like never before,” said Tami Canal, the founder of March Against Monsanto.
In addition to pesticides and the Bayer merger, the March will also focus on Monsanto’s recent $125 million investment in CRISPR, the controversial genetic modification technique that allows scientists to “play God” by editing our favorite food crops quicker and easier in the lab than ever before.
Because of this new technology, several novel foods are being created including a genetically engineered apple that doesn’t turn brown, genetically engineered potatoes, and more. Some worry that CRISPR GMO foods may become the new standard on grocery store shelves.
In keeping with past protocol, these foods won’t be labeled, and haven’t been independently studied for their long-term health effects on humans.
Genetically modified organisms (GMO) are plants that have been created in laboratories of companies such as Monsanto, Dow, DuPont and others. The process takes genes from one species and inserts them into another to get a different characteristic like resistance to chemicals such as Roundup®. The scientists must find ways to force the DNA from one species to another to genetically alter the DNA. They are putting fish genes into tomatoes and human genes into corn. In the lab a gene is introduced into the seed, which alters the genetic makeup of the seed. The farmers use this year’s seed to grow next year’s crops. The cycle has started, and everything is contaminated with this GMO because the pollen spreads for miles around an area. For example, if I plant a crop that is pure and my neighbor has a contaminated crop, my crop may also be contaminated. Nothing is pure anymore, and these GMOs may be killing us.
When Roundup is sprayed on crops, they resist the herbicide; the weeds die, but the crops don’t. Farmers love it because they may get a higher yield from their farms. On the other hand, the most frightening part of this process is that it is messing with Mother Nature and creating a freak-food that the body does not recognize as a food. Thus, many people are coming down with bowel disease such as diverticulitis, colitis and irritable bowel disorder. If you purchase junk food, snacks, bread, pasta, cake mixes, corn tortillas, corn chips, corn oil and syrup or any anything else made from corn, soy or cotton, you are usually consuming GMOs. It is estimated that consumers in the United States eat about 200 pounds of GMO foods per year.

The $66 billion Bayer-Monsanto merger just got a major green light — but farmers are terrified

  • Bayer, a German pharmaceutical and chemical company, has won approval from the US Justice Department to buy agricultural giant Monsanto.
  • But farmers are worried about what the consolidation might mean for prices and their future business.
  • Whereas Bayer and Monsanto claim the move will spur innovation, other analysts have expressed skepticism.

The German company’s proposed takeover of St. Louis-based Monsanto is part of a wave of consolidation that has swept seed and crop-chemical firms in the past three years. Two previous deals, the combination of Dow Chemical Co. and DuPont Co. and China National Chemical Corp.’s takeover of Syngenta AG, won antitrust clearance.
Bayer, which is based in Leverkusen, Germany, had previously agreed to sell seed-and-agrochemical assets to BASF SE for $7 billion. BASF is also in talks to buy Bayer’s vegetable seed business.
In its review of the Bayer-Monsanto merger, the Justice Department is looking at horizontal antitrust issues, or competition in the same market, as well as vertical competition, or issues along supply chains, one of the people familiar with the plan said.
With the increasing consolidation of the agriculture supply industry (Monsanto-Bayer is the biggest of three major mergers — preceded by Dow-DuPont and Syngenta-ChemChina), Govier doesn’t expect things to get easier anytime soon.
“They’re locking in their profit and they’re cornering the market by getting bigger, not by creating new products,” he said of Bayer and Monsanto. “They’re just choking out the rest of the competition.”
The EPA has approved a new kind of genetically engineered corn, named SmartStax Pro. It has a built-in pesticide that targets rootworms, by disrupting one of their genes. The corn will contain Bt toxin, which is a pesticide inside the plant, and DvSnf7 dsRNA, both of which are newcomers to human digestion. (Monsanto says it never tested glyphosate for cancer, but we must consider the possibility that it did do so and then buried the unwanted findings. Either way failed to test, or hid the test would you trust the company to do responsible testing on it’s new RNAi corn?) – GEG
The United States does not have any federal legislation that is specific to genetically modified organisms (GMOs). Rather, GMOs are regulated pursuant to health, safety, and environmental legislation governing conventional products. The US approach to regulating GMOs is premised on the assumption that regulation should focus on the nature of the products, rather than the process in which they were produced.[1] https://www.loc.gov/law/help/restrictions-on-gmos/usa.php
