Paul Engel

Author and speaker Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.” Freely admitting that he “learned more about our Constitution from School House Rock (a Saturday morning cartoon) than in 12 years of school,” he says that anyone can be a constitutional scholar. Since 2014 I have been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. Using news and current events as a springboard, I explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up and secure the blessings of liberty for themselves, their children, and the nation.

When ‘Fact Checks’ Ignore the Facts

When ‘Fact Checks’ Ignore the Facts

In recent court filings, Meta admitted that the Facebook Fact-Checking system is a “protected opinion”. How many people trust Facebook to check the facts for them? For that matter, how many are trusting government bureaucrats to check their facts. Only in the crucible of free speech can we weed out what is an opinion and what is a fact…

When Government Fails to Protect Your Rights…

When Government Fails to Protect Your Rights…

We’ve already seen governments claim the authority to control what you can say, how you run your business, even what you put into your body. All of these are infringements of the people’s rights protected by the Constitution of the US. Perhaps it’s time We the People remind our employees in government of the consequences of failing to protect our rights…

Blindly Trusting Government Officials

Blindly Trusting Government Officials

We need to look at some examples of why we shouldn’t blindly trust government officials. How placing our trust in courts and bureaucracies actual makes us slaves to them rather than free people. Then I answer the questions of how to determine if someone is trustworthy and how you can prepare yourself to be freer in 2022…

You Either Comply or You Breathe Easy

You Either Comply or You Breathe Easy

Ever walk into a business, only to be confronted by some “Karen” about wearing a mask, asking about your medical records, or being scanned with a thermometer? Some people stand up and shout about the tyranny, others simply comply so they can do what needs to be done and get out. Find out how you will be able to use this app to highlight those businesses that protect your rights…

Protecting the People’s Right to Bear Arms

Protecting the People’s Right to Bear Arms

Whether you want to own or carry arms or not, protecting the people’s right to do so is central to the protection of liberty. Why are so many people seeking to take away the rights of the people to defend themselves? Could it be the lack of teaching the reason our Founding Fathers included the Second Amendment in the Bill of Rights?

Is it Love or Money That Make the World Go Round

Is it Love or Money That Make the World Go Round

From disaster relief to the poor, from paying for schools to paying for healthcare, we all seem to want the bullies based in Washington, D.C., or our state houses to collect money for us. Yet few seem to consider the consequences of such actions. The Bible says that the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil…

The Intolerant States of America

The Intolerant States of America

From those who will not tolerate Christmas, the idea that a black man committed a hoax, or that there was corruption in the 2020 presidential election, the number of people who will not tolerate a differing position seems to be growing. When intolerance grows, liberty declines. They are saying, “You do not have the right to think differently.” That is not only where liberty dies, but the truth as well…

The Good and Bad of Recent COVID News

The Good and Bad of Recent COVID News

Taking the time to enjoy the good news is very important. From the Omicron variant to attempts to repeal unconstitutional and illegal mandates, we should not forget there is good news. And when we learn to look at the facts and data rather than the personality, we can live as free citizens again…

Freedom of Information Goes Both Ways

Freedom of Information Goes Both Ways

With the holiday shopping season in full swing, advertising for “smart home” devices is everywhere. I wonder how many of the people buying these devices realized they are installing listening devices that are sending everything they hear to the parent company for analysis? Then, we’ll look at some recent efforts of those in government to keep hidden what…

Are We a Nation of Laws or Courts?

Are We a Nation of Laws or Courts?

How often have you heard of a judge “ruling” in a case, or “blocking” some action until he or she has a chance to review it? The first grievance the Founding Fathers listed in the Declaration of Independence was that the king “has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.”

Beginning of the End for Roe v. Wade?

Beginning of the End for Roe v. Wade?

For 50 years, Roe and Casey have been at the center of a political battle, and the court has been a willing participant. For 50 years, they’ve kept this Court at the center of a political battle that it can never resolve. And 50 years on, they stand alone. Nowhere else does this Court recognize a right to end a human life. – Oral Arguments…

Looking at the COVID Hype and Hysteria

Looking at the COVID Hype and Hysteria

Has anyone taken the time to consider the costs of this ongoing scare campaign? Yes, people have died, yet the overall death rate in America is still only 1.6%. There have been almost 20,000 deaths coincident with the COVID jab. And there is evidence that the government-approved treatment had a 50% death rate when tested against Ebola…

Fixing the Wrong Problems

Fixing the Wrong Problems

"We've got to do something!" That is the common reaction when someone sees a problem. But what happens when the something that you do fix⏤doesn't fix the problem or makes the problem worse? Today, I want to focus on two solutions people have been proposing lately to...

I remember when I first came to Washington. For the first six months you wonder how the hell you ever got here. For the next six months you wonder how the hell the rest of them ever got here.
