I am hard-pressed to find a time when things have been so widespread, aggressively evil, and systematically destructive as the Biden administration’s foreign and domestic policies. And the Biden administration is but the tip of the spear of ever-accelerating neo-Marxism in America.

Joe Biden and company have sown more caustic discord, divisiveness, and conflicting feelings among and between Americans over the last two years than ever since the American Civil War. Unfortunately, Joe Biden’s stolen Presidential election was not the beginning of this insidious and potentially lethal infection. Those who are Socialists and Marxists at their core, but parade as members of the Democrat Party, have been at deconstructing our Constitution, dismantling our capitalist economy, and perverting the very social fabric that has been America since the 1770s.

These so-called Progressive Democrats are littering every aspect of American society with increasingly violent chaos, making Americans more pessimistic than ever. Take, for instance, the most recent Wall Street Journal/NORC poll (March 2023). Researchers asked, “Do you feel confident or not confident that life for our children’s generation will be better than it has been for us?” Seventy-eight (78%) of respondents answered, “Do not feel confident.”

Researchers then asked, “How much confidence do you have in public schools?” Seventy-three (73%) of Americans answered, “some, very little, and none at all.”

Would you describe the state of the nation’s economy these days as…? The answer, 80% said, “Poor/Not so Good.

Only 38% of respondents said patriotism was very important to them, and 39% said religion was very important. The importance of patriotism and religion in 1998 registered at 70% and 62%, respectively. The study also reported that “Tolerance for others, deemed very important by 80% of Americans as recently as four years ago, has fallen to 58% since then.”

To what end is this Progressive-directed chaos, you ask? Is it to undermine America’s faith in itself?

Or is it to confuse Americans and turn their fear-driven loyalty and dependence toward an increasingly centralized and all-powerful federal government? I challenge you to find one policy, one administrative action, one spoken intent by Joe Biden to increase individual liberty in America. Instead, the Biden administration directs all efforts toward harnessing centralized power to be used by the President in an autocratic manner.

Here is an example of what I am driving at. The narrow Republican majority in the House just passed bill H.R.5, the Parents Bill of Rights. H.R.5 passed without one Democrat vote (213-208). However, the Democrat Senate has already declared H.R.5 dead on arrival, and Joe Biden has hinted he has no interest in the bill becoming law. And why not, you ask?

The Parents Bill of Rights has five pillars to ensure parents have the right to have a voice in their children’s education:

  • Right parents to know what curricula teachers are teaching and see all reading material.
  • Right of parents to be heard by teachers, administrators, and school board members.
  • Right of parents to see the school budget and spending.
  • Right of parents to protect their child’s privacy from unauthorized use and interventions by school officials.
  • Right of parents to be informed and updated on any violent activity at school.

I ask you, what is controversial about this bill becoming law? Most Republican-controlled states have enacted or are in the process of passing Parents’ Bills of Rights, and Democrats have aggressively fought these bills at every turn. Why? The simple answer is that the nation’s two most prominent Teachers’ Unions oppose parents having any rights regarding children’s education.

I do not mean or have the space to belabor this point, but Progressive Democrats have not protected nor supported the nuclear family for some time. It is as if they believe the family unit must be dismantled and reconfigured with the government in charge and control of our children. By the way, this is a very Marxist’s premise. Marxism demands that the state control all educational instruction.

“In times like these, it helps to recall that there have always been times like these.” Really? I am not so sure.

In my last week’s show, “A Tale of Two Presidents,” I quoted the opening lines from Charles Dickens Novel, “A Tale of Two Cities,” to explore the extremes between Joe Biden and Donald Trump’s Presidencies. If you are unfamiliar with Dickens’ opening lines to the Tale of Two Cities, allow me to repeat them quickly.

It was the best of times,
it was the worst of times,
it was the age of wisdom,
it was the age of foolishness,
it was the epoch of belief,
it was the epoch of incredulity,
it was the season of light,
it was the season of darkness,
it was the spring of hope,
it was the winter of despair.

Yes, in our moment of economic despair, in our season of Woke cultural darkness, in the epoch of leadership incredulity and the foolishness of open borders, “In times like these, it helps to recall that there have always been times like these.” But are these times here to stay? Lord, I pray not.

Experience has led us to believe that if we wait and let time pass, we will surely return to the best of times, perhaps the age of wisdom again, an epoch of belief, a season of light, and a spring of hope.

But, alas, I now believe time cycles no longer work in America this way. Evil chaos has surfaced and is pretentiously showing itself throughout our federal government. One need not be a psychic to see evil twine its tentacles into every part of American life. So, I am here to expose the effects of this unmitigated and relentless chaos by asking you if you feel safe and secure today in Joe Biden’s America.

Compared to what or when you ask? Compared to Ronald Reagan’s Presidency or that of Donald Trump. Or, if you prefer, compared to two years, five or ten years ago. So, do you think the Biden Administration is doing all it can, and should be doing, to keep you and your family safe and our nation secure?

Why questions about safety and security? Because these questions are another means of asking what you are afraid of. Allow me to explain. Like many other Americans, you probably own a score of insurance policies to protect from the usual yet unforeseen risky events.

You buy homeowners or renters insurance, flood insurance, auto insurance, liability insurance, health and dental insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, roadside assistance insurance, pet insurance, and Identity theft insurance.

And let us not forget all your purchased, extended warranties on your home appliances. In Short, as individuals, Americans spend hundreds of billions of dollars on every type of potential personal tragedy.

There are other ways we go about protecting ourselves and our families. For example, where we decide to live dramatically impacts the types of crime we are likely to encounter. The size of your savings account is another type of safety net. There are many other ways we build our personal safety net.

Most of us do all we can within reason to protect ourselves, to be safe and secure because, as Paul Harvey said, “In times like these, it helps to recall that there have always been times like these.” We know we can never be completely safe and secure, but we can minimize risks.

> Listen to the podcast: “There Have Always Been Times Like These,” Could Paul Harvey Still Be Right?

But what about the risks you have little or no immediate control over? We do not control the size or quality of our fire or police departments. We do not control our international borders or our military, nor do we have much control over social media incursions praying on our children’s attention on their digital devices like cell phones, tablets, and computers.

The recent heated controversy over the harmful effects of the widely popular social media app TikTok demonstrates this concern. TikTok downloaded to our digital devices is like having a Chinese spy balloon surveilling every keystroke our children make. And while we should be capable of controlling what our children do on the phones, we buy them; we know it is far more complicated than that. When it comes to the power of cell phones and unregulated social media applications, we quickly come to understand in times like these, there have never been times like these.

We find it a dangerous fantasy to assume that many other arenas of life under the Biden administration are safe for Americans. Yet, we have taken particular circumstances for granted. For instance, during the COVID-19 pandemic, when public schools were on lockdown, we discovered that teachers were spoon-feeding indoctrinating ideologies like Critical Race Theory or perverted gender ideologies and strange sexual orientations and lifestyles to our children as part of the school’s standard curricula.

We now sleep uneasy, wondering if our 12-year-old daughter will come home from class one day this year and demand we take her to a gender-affirming care clinic and start her on puberty blockers. Why? Because of a “social contagion” spread over the internet and reinforced in social peer groups at school, she plans on transitioning to a boy. Worse yet, if we do not comply, she tells us that her teachers will help her emancipate from us and go through all the Transgender procedures alone.

Frankly, in the past five years, we have found our public schools are dangerous environments, froth with a sick, Woke ideology mainly preached by teachers, led by the nation’s most prominent Teachers’ Unions and fully endorsed by the Biden Administration.

Of course, every school district has an elected school board where parents can voice such concerns. After all, taxpayers fund the schools, elect the boards, and pay everyone’s salaries. But there are now thousands of public reports of parents being silenced, crowded out of school board meetings, or being arrested and punished with restraining orders for voicing concerns over school curricula, restroom practices, gender pronouns, and pornographic books in elementary school libraries.

Again, do you feel safe in America? Isn’t the government supposed to keep its citizens safe and secure? But do any of us feel safe and secure in Mr. Joe Biden’s world of dangerous, open international borders, escalating violent city crime, high monetary inflation, and painfully escalating interest rates? Are you sure the school your children attend teaches them the required math, reading, and writing lessons they must have, or are surreptitious race and gender indoctrination taking place; and being hidden from you?

“In times like these, it helps to recall that there have always been times like these,” but I cannot recall having been through times like these. Have you had this experience? Your daughter tells you there are ten new children in her class. She says there are a lot of new kids in every class. As you look into it, you find that the federal government, specifically the Department of Homeland Security, has flown in 97 new migrant families into your school district. There has been no formal announcement about this or any information on whether this will impact local school taxes or your child’s learning environment.

And things continue to deteriorate. The newly elected far-left-leaning district attorney says she will reduce 50% of the charged felonies to misdemeanors to see that all criminals get a second chance. In addition, the Mayor says she is decreasing the Police budget and the police academy requirements for admission.

A classmate of your son has a funeral tomorrow. He died of apparent Fentanyl poisoning. Now you are worried as you find out 70,000 people, primarily young people, died last year of Fentanyl poisoning. This poison is coming across the southern border, but our government seems entirely disinterested in doing anything to stop it other than meticulously counting the dead bodies. Is it not the responsibility of our federal government to minimize the dangerous illicit drugs entering the United States from Mexico?

Unfortunately, tens of thousands die from heroin, crack cocaine, and other illicit drugs trafficked across the southern border yearly. To paraphrase Josef Stalin, the drug death of one person is a tragedy. The death of millions is a statistic. Is this how Joe Biden sees this tragic statistic? Do you think Joe Biden is keeping your children safe from illicit drugs? Is he even trying?

Perhaps you know other segments of our lives where the President keeps us safe and secure. Perhaps, Not! Is it Joe Biden’s duty to protect Americans from the organized criminal cartels operating out of Mexico? Every collectible statistic shows Americans are far, far less safe from rampant, uncontrolled, illegal alien migration today than under President Donald Trump.

How can you possibly be safe from the millions of unknowable illegal aliens flooding across our southern border and surreptitiously settling in your neighborhood, crowding your children’s classrooms, filling your local hospital beds, and maxing out your social service centers? Again, don’t you worry about how to keep your children safe and secure from the lure of ubiquitous illicit drugs proliferating from China and Mexico?

How could anyone claim we are safer with more than six million aliens pouring across our southern border over the last two years when one million is the historical average? Within these six million alien migrants, 1.2 million so-called “gotaways” who have escaped apprehension by our border patrol agents have vanished into America.

Gotaways are aliens we know nothing about other than they are here illegally, and they do not want us to know who they are or why they are illegally in America. We have no names nor any faces to go with these nameless illegals. We know not if they pose harm or good, but the good is likely doubtful.

During the two years of Biden’s Presidency, border patrol agents have apprehended more than 228 individuals on the “terror watch list.” However, during Trump’s four years in office, with far stricter border security, fewer than 15 such individuals were arrested trying to enter the United States illegally. Potential terrorists think open borders are open to all.

We do not know how many of the 1.2 million gotaways could be on the terror watch list. Even more worrisome, how many of the five million illegal aliens the Biden administration has given entry into America are not on the terror watch list but should be?

Has our President, Joe Biden, spoken to us about death and harm along the border or in our neighborhoods from Cartel business? Has the President told us what he is doing to curb this death, injury, and crime? Do you know what Mr. Biden is doing to thwart Mexicans from kidnapping American tourists to Mexico? As far as I can tell, he has hardly voiced a peep about any aspect of the southern border, the Cartels, or the burden millions of economic migrants, illegal aliens, and criminal aliens are doing in our country.

And finally, how is it in our best interest to look away as Joe Biden maliciously opens our borders to all comers? Is it that America needs six million plus penniless people to care after? Estimates show we spend more than 200 billion dollars a year, each year caring for migrants who belong back in their countries of origin. Yet, in Biden’s America, real wages sadly limp behind the inflation rate. So how can we afford this unasked-for burden of endless migrants?

Mr. Joe Biden preaches he is bound to keep America safe and nationally secure, but I have serious questions. Did you feel safe watching the implosion of Joe Biden’s Afghanistan withdrawal? Has not this humiliating withdrawal emboldened Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and our subsequent proxy war involvement in this war? Has it not energized China’s designs on seizing Taiwan?

Do you trust Joe Biden to keep us out of a direct war with Russia, China, or Iran?

The New York Times reported, “If a large-scale war broke out with China, within about one week, the United States would run out of so-called long-range anti-ship missiles, a vital weapon in any engagement with China.” We are running low on weapons and munitions because we are sending our large stockpiles to Ukraine. Yet, our industrial ability to replace these items is subpar.

Are we collectively safer today than under the Presidency of Donald Trump from becoming embroiled in foreign wars? And if so, how, or why not? While Joe Biden has boldly talked about coming to the defense of Taiwan, should China decide to swallow it, how will we remain safe from a nuclear war with China? Especially if we stay entangled with the Ukrainians in their war with the Russians.

Your safety and security depend on whether you are honestly informed about the risks we face as individuals and as a nation. How do you know when your government and President are being truthful or just blowing smoke up your chimney? Supposedly, Abraham Lincoln said, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.” So, where in this riddle of sorts do you fall?

Are you economically and financially safe? Is inflation playing havoc with your budget and savings? Joe Biden intends to raise taxes on fossil-fuel energy companies, corporations, and individuals. Can you afford more taxation? It has become axiomatic that taxation with representation is tyranny.

Do you trust Joe Biden in a crisis? So how did the Biden administration handle the baby formula, airline, supply chain, and prescription drug crises? Currently, the nation has a prescription drug shortage approaching 30 percent. If you live along a railroad track in central America, how safe do you feel about a train derailment in your neighborhood?

Are you legally safe from being bullied by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for speaking your mind at a local school board meeting or being subjected to malicious prosecution by a weaponized Department of Justice (DOJ) because you pray outside of abortion centers?

Did you know that FBI agents worked about 16,000 hours more during the Capitol riot of January 6, 2021, than during the pay period of the 2020 riots that hit Washington, D.C. Don’t you think this statistic hints at a two-tiered justice system? Ninety-five (95%) of those at the Capitol on January 6, 2021, were Trump supporters. Ninety-five (95%) of those rioting in Washington during the summer of 2020 were Progressive activists. At which activity do you think you were more likely to be arrested?

And what about crime? Do you personally worry about crime and your possible victimhood? And what about your right to protect yourself? Do you believe you have the right to use a gun to defend yourself? Do you have the right to own a firearm to keep yourself safe? Joe Biden is doing everything in his power to delete the second amendment.

Is climate change menacingly real, and will radically degrading our fossil fuel-based economy keep us safe from climate change? Or is climate change less a science and more an ideology froth with fabricated data and political misdirection?

The Biden administration is turning our fossil-fuel-driven world upside down and inside out, and the costs and risks to us are seriously disconcerting and expensive. And to add ulcerating colitis to the Biden administration’s war on fossil fuels, the Department of Energy has drained our Strategic Petroleum Reserve to its lowest level in 40 years. How has this made us safer, especially in an emergency?

Do we take answers to questions of safety and national security for granted? Perhaps at some point in the past, we did. But I no longer think we do, nor should we. And with the fabricated election of Joe Biden, I believe we have become increasingly worried and skeptical about our personal safety and national security.

To this day, I am hard-pressed to find anyone who felt safe throughout the pandemic. Instead, the radical Democrats ignited a fear contagion that grew to a “mass formation psychosis” as the Biden administration began unilaterally curtailing American civil liberties. The disease was fear, the government’s cure, and the vicious cancel culture Biden and Dr. Anthony Fauci used to control anyone who stepped out of line with official narrative and vaccine mandates. So, what should we expect from the next pandemic?

So, do you trust the President’s reassurance about the safety of American banks? We are still at risk of a banking collapse. And what of the overall economy? Do you trust that our inflationary economy makes our banks unsafe or safer? Banks are just one part of the American economic and financial structure.

Mr. Biden’s bloated annual budgets are increasingly financed with borrowed money, pushing the nation’s debt beyond 32 trillion dollars. On top of this, Mr. Biden and his Democrat Party have spent over 6.5 trillion dollars over the last two years, igniting and fueling runaway dollar inflation.

Because of inflation, the Federal Reserve is ratcheting up interest rates to slow the economy and bring down inflation. But this medicine has nasty, harmful side effects, making us all less secure as we wrestle with our family budgets.

As interest rates rise, so do the interest rates we must pay on the money our federal government borrowed, making paying off this monstrous debt even more onerous. Increasing interest rates also slow corporate borrowing and expansion, and companies tighten their belts by laying off workers. High-interest rates also make home mortgage loans too expensive for many would-be new homeowners, forcing them to continue paying rent instead of investing in a House.

How are we not closer to economic collapse and ruin if we continue to allow excessive federal spending and ever-inching upward interest rates to continue?

And what of Joe Biden doubling the size of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) by adding 87,000 new agents? Is this in our best interest? The President seeks to protect us from those who would take legal advantage of the tax code by ensuring the rich pay their fair share. But surely one cannot make a poor man rich by making a rich man poor? And we are to believe there is safety in this long-abused appeal to “social justice.”

Did you trust the President when he told you this inflation was temporary? Mr. Biden and his treasury Secretary, Janet Yellen, knew that it was not when they said it was. This so-called white lie was in the same tradition as the many fabrications the Biden administration told us during the COVID-19 pandemic.

At some point, they knew masks did not stop the spread of COVID-19 and that the vaccine did not stop transmission of the disease nor prevent you from becoming infected. They also knew that recovering from COVID-19 conferred a natural immunity post-infection. But they lied throughout the pandemic on nearly everything related to it, including its origin in China.

Unfortunately, however, his just-released 2024 budget degrades our national defense. For instance, his 2024 Department of Defense budget increase of 3.2% will not keep pace with our 6.0% inflation rate. Yet, Biden’s budget gives double-digit increases to all other federal (social spending) departments. All this dispiriting news is on top of Biden’s hollowing out our active-duty force with heavy-handed “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” indoctrination. Recent surveys show that only nine (9%) of high school seniors are interested in joining the military.

We watched a Chinese surveillance balloon fly over some of our most sensitive national defense installations weeks ago, likely gathering classified data. Our President said that out of an abundance of caution and for our safety, he waited until the Chinese spy balloon had completed its mission before having it shot down. And then our President proceeded to have three other balloons in northern skies shot down as a symbol of his recommitment, his pledge of national security, and our safe keeping.

I must admit that I am puzzled about how America is safer as I watch China partner with Russia. Moreover, I see China forging trade relationships in South and Central America. So much for the Monroe Doctrine. And what of the recent alliance between Iran and Saudi Arabia brokered by China? Are we giving away our influence in the Middle East as well? The influence Mr. Biden sold to China, Russia, and Ukraine makes one suspicious of his foreign policy decisions.

And while we are talking international, let us not forget that the hot war between the Russians and Ukrainians is a war President Biden has us participating in for our safety and security. The Russians’ unwarranted military aggression anywhere must be opposed unless it spreads everywhere. This patriotic Biden support for Ukraine is surprising given the Obama/Biden administration hardly chirped a peep when Vladimir Putin rushed Ukraine in 2014, stealing Crimea and swallowing chunks of the Donbas region.

I am sure Mr. Biden thinks he is fortifying our safety and security by generously supplying the Ukrainians with massive allotments of cash, weapon systems, and munitions. And are we to believe the Russians will sit back and say or do nothing while we supply the Ukrainians with operating capital and weapons? If I am not mistaken, the Russians recently harassed and downed one of our expensive, sophisticated surveillance drones flying over international waters in the Black Sea.

Was this not a direct provocation by the Russians, the type of relentless aggression that could escalate into direct war, possibly a nuclear war? Of course, but surely, Joe Biden would not risk war with Russia to demonstrate he is not the delusional, timorous coward who fled Afghanistan as the Taliban nipped at the wheels of our cargo planes. Indeed, this is not the safety and security-minded Joe Biden who has pledged to protect all things American, including the Americans.

There may have been a time when we took questions and their answers about safety and security for granted. But those times are long gone. Moreover, our prior assumption that the President of the United States holds our protection from the usual slings and arrows of outrageous fortune as an oath of his office is also long gone. Do you trust Mr. Joe Biden with anything, much less your safety and national security? If we do not find a mutually agreed upon level of safety and security from our government institutions, then what is the point of government?

Time is not on our side. If conservatives are to win back the Senate, keep the House, and liberate the Presidency from the destructive clutches of the Marxist-leaning Democrats, we must act now. Fine, you say. And how should we go about this? As mentioned, we must remain informed about what our government is doing. One way to do this is to stay tuned in the America Out Loud Network. I assure you that if you stay informed, you will find the motivation to act, to bring about the changes we must make to return America to “We the People.”

> Listen to the podcast: “There Have Always Been Times Like These,” Could Paul Harvey Still Be Right?

And Remember, in times like these; it is helpful to remember there have rarely been times like these.
