Recently the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mark Milley, the Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, and Central Command Commander, Kenneth McKenzie, appeared before two separate congressional hearings to address the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. Although the three men were reticent not to criticize Joe Biden, it is clear Biden did not listen to their advice. They suggested he not move so quickly, and to leave additional troops on the ground for the country would most certainly collapse following a rapid withdrawal.
Yet, Biden did just the opposite. He surreptitiously removed all troops, abandoned military equipment, 13 American soldiers and 10 Afghanis; seven were children, were killed, and over a thousand Americans left behind enemy lines wanting to come home. Biden told the American people the “deliberate” withdrawal was an “extraordinary success.” But his top military advisers all agreed it was a “strategic failure.”
Now we know the supposed leader of the free world is lying to the American people about his actions, and his top military advisers are completely contradicting him. We have also learned that the Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff, Milley, was more concerned with fighting white supremacy, “being woke,” and leaking private conversations he had with former President Donald Trump than he was with the war in Afghanistan. So knowing what we know, where do we go from here? The host of “After Dark” with Rob and Andrew attempts to answer these questions!
