As a defender of the 2nd Amendment, I bristle and complain any time any government at any level passes any gun control legislation or executive action. We already have far too many gun laws on the books, and as a California resident, I can tell you that the restrictions in blue states are outright draconian.

So, when the regime announced their new ban on so-called “ghost guns” and placed more restrictions on the constitutionally protected practice of manufacturing our own firearms, I instantly went to work on writing my complaint article. Then, it dawned on me. Why now? Invariably the only time leftists try to push gun restrictions is when there’s a tragic mass shooting. There was a firefight in California last week that left six dead, but that appears to be gun-related and had nothing to do with ghost guns. All of the laws currently in place should have prevented the crime had they been enforced, so adding a new ban made no sense.

I quickly realized the timing was conspicuous when Jen Psaki announced that tomorrow’s numbers regarding inflation would be “extraordinarily elevated.” That’s when I realized the move to push for gun control measures today was designed to virtue signal to leftists who are growing increasingly concerned about their own financial future and to distract conservatives from focusing on the failing economy.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not suggesting that this move is meaningless or that we shouldn’t oppose it. Just because there are bigger issues at play that the Biden regime is trying to distract us from doesn’t mean we are obligated to let go of our rights. We must fight the regime tooth-and-nail as they try to ban firearms of all types. But we cannot let that battle distract us from reminding everyone how bad everything is on the financial front.

Jen Psaki kept trying to push the narrative that what we’re seeing is “Putin’s Price Hikes.” This is as false as it is ludicrous. The economic woes we are seeing are a direct result of the regime’s actions against Russia, actions that have failed miserably. While doing nothing to dissuade Vladimir Putin from continuing his invasion of Ukraine, the sanctions have caused incalculable economic harm on at least millions and possibly billions of people across the globe.

In the United States, we’re already seeing food shortages and massive price increases on the items we need for our day-to-day lives. It’s unquestionable where the blame lies, but that’s not stopping the regime from trying to distract and redirect blame in any direction possible other than their own mirror.

Yes, we must keep fighting to protect our 2nd Amendment rights, but don’t let the regime use a well-timed gun control measure to distract us from the massive economic turmoil they are creating.

I discussed all this in the first segment of today’s episode of The JD Rucker Political Report on America Out Loud Talk Radio. In the second segment, I discussed water prepping. Segment three was all about Donald Trump’s endorsement of Dr. Mehmet Oz.
