Last week, I covered the purposeful misinformation, confusion, politics, and public health folly of the Trump CDC and now most certainly the Biden CDC as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has performed abysmally since the first COVID-19 cases found their way from China to our homeland. And I’m troubled to report the CDC’s competence hasn’t improved. Last week, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the CDC Director, issued new Facemask guidance for fully COVID-19 vaccinated. This directive says that if you’re vaccinated, you no longer have to wear a mask out or indoors, except in particular circumstances like being in close-quarter crowds or on public transportation. Since May 13th, when the CDC Director issued this guidance, the Media, and Democrats, in particular, have been hysterical over who is going to police the unvaccinated if they cheat and go maskless.
Given that vaccinated people cannot transmit COVID-19 and can no longer get COVID-19, it’s genuinely curious why anyone cares if the unvaccinated cheat and go maskless. The unvaccinated have the risk information and have ample opportunity to get vaccinated if they so choose. Their “mask-status” shouldn’t concern anyone, least of all the political Left or the Media. The Biden administration has come forward to say they won’t do what they can’t do by Law; they can’t issue involuntary medical vaccine passports to individuals. HIPPA laws forbid it. But there’s a growing push by the political left to see that the private industry creates these medical passports and employs them to allow customers into stores and fans to enter Marquee events!
The political left has drawn battle lines in support of Big Brother Government! The battle has begun for freedom versus coercive control.
