Bishop Fulton Sheen tweeted, “As Religion fades, so will freedom.” His observation that religious conviction and the moral conduct it promotes is both integral and essential to free society echoes that of founder/framer John Adams who observed in 1798, “Our...
Biden’s Red Flags for Busybodies
When the matador waves his red cape, the bull charges. If BAB’s (Barely Aware Biden) Red Flag law passes, it will be the green flag for BAA – Busybodies Across America. Motto: When Left-wing shepherds ring their bell, we follow like sheep. BAA! And we bleat at anyone who disagrees and does everything we say, including how you prune your shrubs.
As the New York Post reports, ‘another Biden rule orders the Justice Department to propose model legislation on “red flag” laws that states would have the option of adopting. The president said he also wants a national red flag law.’
“Red flag laws allow family members or law enforcement to petition for a court order temporarily barring people in crisis from accessing firearms if they present a danger to themselves or others,” the White House fact sheet said.
Here is my prediction:
We can expect “family members” to be expanded to “friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and anybody who doesn’t like your Twitter posts.” In California, people with concealed carry permits could be “outed” by the California public records law. That obnoxious “follower” who reports you to the Twitter police could feel empowered to fabricate a “danger to others” report to your local court.
Busybodies Busily Confiscating Guns
That nosy opinionated busybody neighbor with the Biden-Harris and Save the Left-Handed Zitwitwiler Finch bumper stickers could then “denounce” you to the courts based on his or her or zir interpretation of something you said, something you posted on social media, or how often you cut your grass. Facts don’t matter to Leftists. Only “their truth.”
Busybody: “My neighbor presents a danger to the poor innocent deer during hunting season! Take his guns away!”
Magistrate: “Based on what facts?”
Busybody: “Based on my truth! My truth is what I say it is. And I say it is true that my neighbor presents a danger to another living being, a deer. And you, Magistrate, are a racist if you don’t do as I say. Take his gun away.”
Welcome to Orwell’s Oceania. Up is down, wet is dry, everything is the opposite of what your senses and common sense tell you. Their world will soon be your world as the petty dictators known as busybodies gain political power. Reality is what they say it is.
Think of your freedoms and rights listed in the Bill of Rights as an upside-down pyramid. A pyramid balanced, yet teetering, on the one right at the bottom holding up the pyramid of rights. The right that makes all other rights possible. Your Second Amendment Right to bear arms. The right to defend yourself from all enemies, foreign or domestic.
In Venezuela, guns were outlawed in 2012. “Hugo Chavez’s government says the ultimate aim is to disarm all civilians,” reported the BBC. Since then, all dissident groups have been subject to arrest and harassment by the government. No guns, no ability to resist tyranny.
Who Remembers Paul Revere’s Ride?
Who remembers Paul Revere’s Ride? “Listen my children, and you shall hear, of the midnight ride of Paul Revere,” opens the once-famous poem by Longfellow. “Ready to ride and spread the alarm, Through every Middlesex village and farm, For the country-folk to be up and to arm.”
Why “to arm?” To defend the armory at Concord. The British troops were marching in to seize the muskets and other militia supplies stored there. Why? To disarm American citizens who might resist the British taking away their rights. The minutemen did resist at Lexington and then at Concord. This first battle of the American Revolution was about gun rights. We had guns. The British wanted to take our guns away.
The second amendment right to own guns is the guarantor and enabler for all other rights. If you can’t defend yourself, you are not free. The people who do have guns (government and thugs, often interchangeable) will control and enslave you. No guns equal no freedom.
“British Biden” Wants Your Guns.
Longfellow’s poem ends:
Through all our history, to the last,
In the hour of darkness and peril and need,
The people will waken and listen to hear
The hurrying hoof-beats of that steed,
And the midnight message of Paul Revere.
In this hour of darkness and peril and need, listen to Paul Revere’s message: defend your guns. “British Biden” wants your guns. Tell your representatives to vote no, while they still can.
A new Paul Revere would cry, “The Biden is coming, the Biden is coming!”
