A former law enforcement officer, Burton Brinks, is ready to bring law and order back to California’s 49th District, where he is running for state Assemblyman. Brinks is a lifelong resident of LA county and has worked in the area since 1967. He currently serves as Commissioner for the City of Arcadia. He said he decided to run for office after witnessing the demise of LA county and seeing politicians get elected and forgetting they work for the people. Brinks tells the hosts of After Dark that once elected to office, he will make certain the people know he works for them and not the other way around. He says too many politicians forget they are servants of the people.
Burton Brinks has served the San Gabriel Valley, starting as young as 14 1/2 as a police explorer at the Arcadia Police Department. He became a reserve police officer in Monterey Park in 1982 and retired as a sergeant after 29 years with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Burton believes we all have the right to exercise personal choice when it comes to our health. Getting a “vaccine/shot” is a decision that should be made in consultation with one’s doctor, not forced on Americans by the government.
The 49th Assembly District represents the cities of Alhambra, Arcadia, East Pasadena, El Monte, Monterey Park, Rosemead, San Gabriel, South San Gabriel, San Marino, South Pasadena, and Temple City.
