On April 1, Bloomberg reported that U.S. intelligence sources leaked information from a classified document which revealed that China has massively under-reported both the total number of cases of infections and deaths in China from what we now call COVID-19. It was a big headline. But, from my point of view, it was hardly news. In fact, it was more than two months old and far too late. As a scoop, it was a bust.
China was under-reporting? That news should not come as a surprise to my weekly readers, or to listeners of the Freedman Report. You already know that China has been hiding the extent of the coronavirus outbreak, first in Wuhan and then throughout much of China, and then the rest of the world.
China has been hiding the numbers from day one, which was probably on or about November 17, 2019. During the first two months that followed, the spread of the disease was mostly confined to Wuhan. And then it began to spread beyond, first to Hong Kong, then to the world. I brought you that first information on January 15 on the Freedman Report, right here on America Out Loud.
The first warning we got was on January 3, and it didn’t come from the Chinese government. It came from an article in the South China Morning Post, the English language newspaper in Hong Kong. That article revealed that people who had visited Wuhan, China had become ill with an unknown virus. People in Hong Kong were being warned not to travel to Wuhan and there was talk about restricting travel to central China altogether. I began reporting about this mysterious disease twelve days later.
If you listened to the Freedman Report that day, you heard me talk about how health authorities in Hong Kong had gone on high alert, after five patients developed symptoms of respiratory infections and fever after visiting Wuhan.
In the meantime, the Wuhan police reported that it had detained eight people for spreading false information online about the virus. We later found out that these were eight doctors, including Dr. Li Wenliang, who had alerted seven of his fellow doctors about the danger of this new virus, which he thought resembled SARS. All eight were called in for an “interview” by the police and were made to sign a letter in which they were compelled to admit to spreading “misinformation” about the virus and to promise not to do it again. Dr. Li later became infected himself, and succumbed to the virus only a few weeks later.
I reported that authorities in Hong Kong were already concerned about the possible spread of this mysterious infectious disease that they thought may have been brought back to Hong Kong by visitors to Wuhan. They were very worried, even though, at the time, it had only impacted a small number of cases in China, 44 to be precise, “according to Chinese authorities”.
That was the first indication that the Chinese were fudging the numbers. Because by that time, the virus was spreading rapidly throughout that large industrial city of 11 million people.
The next week, on the January 22 show, I reported that the Lunar New Year, which is a huge national holiday in China, would take place on January 25, and that in China, hundreds of millions of people would be traveling, as they do every year, across China and around the world, to celebrate the holiday. I wrote, “It is expected that approximately 5,000 travelers from Wuhan will also pass through American airports in the coming weeks.”
The CDC sent at least 100 workers to New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco airports in the United States in order to screen incoming passengers. It also started screening at Atlanta’s International airport and O’Hare International Airport in Chicago.
Then, on January 29, I wrote this:
“The news coming out of China is very misleading, because their statistics are very unreliable . . . . The reality is that China is under-reporting the statistics and the numbers are likely to be significantly higher than reported, because even under the best of circumstances, the overwhelming bureaucracy impedes even the most urgent cases. It can take days or even weeks to diagnose a single case. Even if the Chinese government was being completely honest about the number of people who are sick or dying from the coronavirus, which I frankly doubt,  they would still not be able to report the number of casualties accurately.
“The city of Wuhan was first locked down on the morning of January 23.  But the shut down was only partial. Then, on January 27th, it was reported that the entire city of Wuhan, which has a population of 11 million people  – has been completely sealed off, and that some 1,500 members of the British foreign service are not being allowed to evacuate. Large berms are being constructed on the roads so that no vehicles can enter or leave.
“And more than 56 million people in nearly twenty Chinese cities – including Wuhan – have also been prevented from travelling in order to contain the spread of the virus.”
All of this was reported to me by reliable, private intelligence sources – long before it appeared in the Bloomberg article on April 1st.
Then, later in January, we started hearing reports directly from Wuhan, and you quickly learned that China was reporting fraudulent numbers of the sick and the dead, phony statistics that were far below the real numbers. And that the Chinese government was not just an unlucky victim of a new virus, but that they were fully responsible for the creation of the virus that is now plaguing the entire world.
And you heard that here first, as well.
On January 27, I wrote, this in an article called :
“First-hand accounts from Wuhan are more than a little disturbing. Some have reported that people are falling down in the streets and dying where they fall. And they also report that the number of dead is in the thousands. . . . .
“A video by a nurse, posted earlier this week [mid-January], claimed that there were already 90,000 cases in Wuhan … and throughout China. Photographs from inside a hospital in Wuhan show body-bags lining the halls.
“And another British researcher predicted that the coronavirus would infect over 250,000 people in China in under two weeks. These predictions have kindled the fear that China will continue to try to under-represent the true severity of the outbreak until it is too late.”
And they did. And it was.
Then, on January 29, on the Freedman Report, I told you that five million Chinese nationals had left Wuhan before the holiday began on the 25th, that the city was quarantined, but that thousands of Chinese travelers from Wuhan had already flown to other countries around the world for the two week-long holiday. Since the outbreak began and just before the holiday arrived, thousands of travelers from Wuhan had been flying into the cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York City, and from there, to other destinations throughout the United States.
The Chinese government didn’t warn us about that either. But the first case in the U.S. was a man in Seattle who had just returned from Wuhan, where he had  been in November and December and then flew home to the U.S. on Jan. 15. Patient Zero in the U.S., the first person to be diagnosed with the virus in the U.S., was diagnosed with the novel coronavirus on Jan. 21.
That was more than two months ago, and the Chinese are still trying to hide the facts.
In the meantime, we were getting new stories about how the mortuaries in Wuhan were overwhelmed, and that the Chinese were cremating the dead at a fantastic rate – with 74 crematoria each burning more than 100 bodies a day for weeks on end.
In other words, we all knew that the official figures we were getting from China about the victims of this virus were dead wrong. They represented only a small percentage of the real numbers of the sick and the dead.
By February 5, we already knew a lot. China’s National Health Commission had reported that 28,018 cases of the virus have been confirmed and 563 people had died in the country. Since then, another 3,694 new cases have been confirmed as well as 73 additional deaths, with most of them in Hubei province, where Wuhan is located. That is according to the Chinese government, a total of 31,712 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in China, and 636 dead as of early February.
So by the time I wrote “There is No Way to Overestimate the Calamity in China Today!” on February 11th, we knew much more, and I wrote, “Even now, when the entire world is facing a pandemic, China still only admits to hundreds of confirmed deaths and thousands of infected people, when the numbers are likely to be exponentially higher.” Their numbers were ridiculously low.
And another piece of information that confirms my assumptions is now being released by an increasingly angry population. They are reporting that the crematoria were now receiving huge shipments of urns, no doubt for the ashes of the deceased to be returned to their families. One crematorium received two shipments of 5,000 urns each. And there were 74 crematoria, all working at full capacity!

It’s just simple arithmetic! Their official numbers are just plain wrong. They have been lying about the numbers from the start and they are still lying.

So where did this Bloomberg report come from? According to Bloomberg’s article, it was leaked from a classified document sent to the White House. That’s standard procedure these days. Nothing is secret anymore. In other words, whoever leaked it, broke the law and could be imprisoned for a serious crime. That’s not likely, of course. The officials asked not to be identified because the report is secret, and they declined to detail its contents. But the thrust, they said, is that China’s public reporting on cases and deaths is intentionally incomplete. Only the so-called ‘classified’ document shouldn’t have been classified, because the information was already months old and could hardly be called secret anymore.
Two of the officials said the report concludes that China’s numbers are fake. No kidding!
There is one more question that we also answered in January. Why would China be so secretive, when honesty and openness might have brought help and could have saved thousands of lives. And the most logical reason is that the virus did not come from natural sources, that it did not come from bats in a live animal market in Wuhan, as China still claims.
The intelligence that I have received, from highly reliable sources, is that this virus was created in a laboratory in Wuhan that was developing bioweapons based on the SARS virus. And that it got lose in a laboratory accident. This was intended to be a weaponized virus to be used on China’s enemies. No wonder China wanted to hide it!
And China warned us, on Xiahuanet, the Communist Party news outlet, that they would withhold all medical exports to the U.S., and if they did so, our country would “fall into the hell” of the virus. In fact, they could do some real harm temporarily, because China provides more than 90% of U.S. imported drugs, as well as medical equipment such as surgical masks and gloves.
But China refuses to accept any responsibility for the pandemic, and, in fact, has blamed the U.S. military for planting the virus in Wuhan. That ridiculous accusation notwithstanding, they have made a serious threat against the United States.
In an article that appeared in Xinhua, the state-run media agency, they warned us about this:
“If China retaliates against the United States at this time, in addition to announcing a travel ban on the United States, it will also announce strategic control over medical products and ban exports to the United States. Then the United States will be caught in the ocean of new coronaviruses. If China banned exports, the United States will fall into the hell of a new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic.”

It added: “We should say righteously that the US owes China an apology, and the world owes China a “thank you” for their ‘heroic’ efforts to stop the virus and save the world.

Our lives today are surreal, as we struggle through the pandemic which has totally changed our lives, for some of us – forever. China has a lot to account for, and its crimes are horrendous. Wherever the virus began, in a market or a laboratory, China hid it from the world for at least 45 days, lied about it and its consequences, and allowed thousands – possibly millions – of its citizens to travel the world, knowing that some were undoubtedly infected and would be spreading the virus wherever they went. The deaths of innocents – hundreds of thousands of them – is on the Chinese government and they must be held accountable.
China has been lying to us from the beginning. And you heard it here first.

No, I heard about this way back in December, I just ignored it.
BTW, ¿why are you ignoring how Iran created coronavirus to frame China?
