Merry Christmas, Everyday Americans!
I know, not everyone celebrates Christmas, and that is fine. While the push to replace “Merry Christmas” with “Happy Holidays” has waned lately, I would hope that anyone who does not celebrate Christmas would take the traditional greeting in the sentiment of peace and goodwill with which it is offered. I would also hope that those who do celebrate Christmas would accept the greetings of Happy Chanukah and Happy Kwanza the same way.
As we prepare our traditional celebrations, I have one question I would like to answer today.
Should the American people expect a present in their stockings, or a lump of coal?
