CPAC just ended its meeting in Texas and conservatives seem to be fired up. That’s a good thing, for the GOP needs the energy. The challenge now is keeping the fire burning up to the 2022 midterms, in hopes of regaining both Houses. Presently, this seems to be an easy fete, but history has shown us things could change on the flip of a dime. And as one conservative podcast host, Jeff Dornik puts it, “(conservatives) can’t lose sight of the big picture and get “sucked” into endless debates.

Dornik is the host of “Freedom One-On-One.” He appears on “After Dark With Rob and Andrew” to discuss why he thinks conservatives need to be “laser-focused” with messaging and “strategically” in responses to Democrats if they are to win the narrative war. “For too long conservatives have been nothing but reactionary to the left, and we get sucked into” too many individual endless issues and debates that are important, but we can’t allow them to distract (us) from the big picture of “our nation being destroyed right before our eyes.”

He points out the clumsy messaging from conservatives over the Juneteenth Holiday as a failed opportunity to control the messaging. Instead of pushing back on the day being made a holiday, Dornik said, conservatives should have thanked Democrats for implementing President Trump’s agenda and “acknowledging that it was the first Republican president who actually freed the slaves and that it was actually the Democrats who fought against it, the Democrats who enforced the Jim Crow Laws, and the Democrats who are actually enforcing systemic racism today.” That was a narrative war he said conservatives would have won had they not taken the opposite approach of attacking the holiday.

Along with strategic messaging, Dornik said in his opinion; conservatives should focus on three issues: election fraud (cleaning up the election, getting rid of Dominion voting machines, establishing rules with paper ballots); preserving our constitutional rights that were taken away by the Democrats during COVID-19; and, cutting off all ties to our enemies the Chinese Communist Party (cutting off manufacturing, trade, travel, spending money in the country and, allowing China to invest in our country). China is our enemy, he said,  and we must treat them as such.
