How much time do you spend vetting those you follow? I don’t mean checking to see if they’re a donkey or an elephant, but do you really look not only at what they say but what they do?
I ask because it seems many Americans have chosen a leader with little, if any, real effort put in to see if they have followed the oaths they have taken.
I’m not really surprised. After years of studying and teaching about the Constitution of the United States, it is quite apparent that the state of our civic education is abysmal.
Worse than the general ignorance of the supreme law of the land are the numerous myths and lies about the Constitution that many Americans follow, like lemmings. We have constitutionally blind people following constitutionally blind politicians, bureaucrats, and judges.
As Jesus said, “[I]f the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” This explains a lot about how America has fallen from the land of the free into the land of the surf.
