Content of My Product, or Color of My Politics?
In Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech, he famously said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” Amen!
To paraphrase Dr. King, we once lived in a nation where corporations were judged by the quality of their products or services, not by the politically correct color of their CEO’s press releases. I want an airline with a good on-time arrival record, not an airline with a CEO who wants to dictate state election laws. I want to drink a soft drink brand that tastes great, not a brand whose CEO wants to tell me how to run elections. I want to be entertained by watching a game, not be harangued by league officials who want to tell me which political party to support.
This is part of a planned takeover of the once-free United States of America. A takeover accomplished by social fear and intimidation. Why fear and intimidation? Because the facts and common sense tell us their policies are anti-freedom, anti-individual, and anti-life.
In the Sci-Fi movie Time After Time, the H.G. Wells character says, “The first man to raise a fist has run out of ideas!” The Left has no ideas on their side, so they raise a fist. The fist, in this case, is the accusation of racism, which melts millionaire CEOs into puddles.
The Hidden Method of Control: Dependency
The strategy of a Leftist Dictatorial Government is to make everyone dependent on the government. Exhibit A: Venezuela. Food and health care are controlled by the Socialist Government of Dictator Maduro. Those who speak out against the government find their food ration cards not renewed. Conform or starve.
The State of the Nation’s Dependency on Big Government
In the United States, here is the current state of dependency on government:
1 – Welfare. With Biden’s rollbacks of Bill Clinton’s reforms, it once again pays to stay home and get pregnant with checks, once known as children. Expect welfare rolls to add millions more.
2 – Disability. Millions of Americans claim questionable “disability” to get disability checks from Social Security. It’s more socially acceptable. Instead of saying “I’m on welfare,” you can say “I’m on disability” and hold your head high. One person reportedly said, “I get too self-conscious when I go to job interviews, so I’m on disability.” Really?
3 – CCP Covid unemployment supplement from the Federal Govt. The extra $300 from the Feds augments the unemployment checks from the states. In many cases, it now pays more to stay home than go back to work—millions more on unemployment. Jobs go begging.
With these millions of people dependent on government checks to put food on their tables, the government can say, “Vote like we tell you, or starve.” The USA? Or Venezuela 2.0?
But Wait, There’s More!
But wait! There is still a large segment of the population that works for a living. How can the Leftist government control them? Simple. Enter cancel culture social control via corporate CEOs taking the pledge: “I’ll do and say whatever the Left tells me to do and say.” Then these craven CEOs add the Leftist policies into the corporate “values” statement.
4 – Now, they can say to employees, “If you act or talk against our corporate Leftist values, even in your private life and private citizen comments on social media, we will fire you. And no other Leftist / Woke corporation will hire you.”
End result? Control via fear and intimidation. Corporate CEOs can take food off your table just as surely as Nicolas Maduro can cancel your food ration card. And who controls these CEOs? The Left. Who controls the Biden government? The Left. See the common element?
So, whether your check comes from a government dependency agency or a corporation, the Left owns you as they planned all along.
What to Do?
What can we do about it? Start your own small business. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates started in a home garage. Both college drop-outs. You can start a business on the side while still working for a company—home school your children to teach them the real history of our country, versus government school propaganda. Grow tomatoes and sell them at a local tailgate market. Buy more from small independent businesses. Develop alternate sources of income.
Base Your Vote On Two Principles
Volunteer to be an election observer to try to keep elections honest. And last but not least, don’t vote for parties or personalities. Vote based on these two principles:
Small limited government and low taxes made our country free and prosperous in our first 200 plus years as a republic. It works.
