We have reached a point in our educational system where kids are being taught to hate each other and their country. Critical ideology has manifested itself into the current concept now called “Critical Race Theory”.
Where did it come from?According to Liz Wheeler in an opinion piece in Newsweek: Critical race theory is an offshoot of ‘critical theory’ introduced by a group of 20th-century Marxists in Germany. “In 1937, Max Horkheimer of the Frankfurt School wrote a manifesto about “critical theory,” in which he claimed that people could not reason objectively when examining society. In classic Marxist fashion, critical theory divides everyone in society into classes of oppressed and oppressors.” They believed that “the cultural institutions that stand in the way of the Marxist revolution must be destroyed through relentless criticism (hence the name: critical theory).”
How did this Marxist ideology infiltrate American society? This group of Marxists fled Germany to escape the Nazis; they found refuge at Columbia University. There they helped morph critical theory into critical race theory in the United States. The Marxists blamed workers … claimed the workers had not successfully revolted because they still relied on institutions of the ruling class like the family, religion, and country. Certain members of the Marxist movement took critical theory one step further … workers needed to be “re-educated” in order to overthrow the capitalist systems that were allegedly stymying the worker-led Marxist revolution.
