“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!” This passage is on the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty in New York City. Democrats and the liberal media often cite it to make the case for illegal aliens crossing the southern border. However, they have not cited this passage to make the case for Cubans who are protesting their repressive government and attempting to flee the country and come to America.
On the contrary, Alejandro Mayorkas, Home Land Security Secretary, has told Cubans not to come to America; otherwise, they will be turned back. A big difference in messaging.
This double standard in messaging is discussed by the hosts of “After Dark With Rob And Andrew” and their guest Bob Dunlap of the “Bob & Eric Save America” podcast. Dunlap says he is confused by the messaging coming from the Home Land Security Secretary, considering his family fled the country during the Cuban Revolution and is aware of the devastation in the country.
Might the reason Cubans aren’t welcomed to America is that they are conservative and know the dangers of socialism and communism. Unfortunately, the Biden Administration and many Democrats seem to be embracing socialism and communism.
Bob Dunlap is a businessman and comedian from North Carolina. He is co-host of “Bob & Eric Save America,” streamed live Saturday evenings on Facebook’s Freedom First Network. Bob has accumulated a huge following on social media and often has viral tweets, despite being a frequent victim of censorship by big tech.
