With the brief exception of the Trump administration, it seems to have made little difference which party has been in power in Washington D.C.; the climate alarmist bandwagon continues year after year, decade after decade, with hundreds of billions of dollars wasted. Consequently, our electrical grid is becoming increasingly unreliable as governments turn their backs on the energy sources that made America great. Instead, we are told that we must make a sudden mass conversion to expensive and impractical wind and solar power to “stop climate change.” The fact that reputable science does not back the scare is immaterial. Virtually no government scientists, let alone politicians and bureaucrats, dare stand up to the climate change juggernaut.
In our program this week, we discuss with our guest, Dr. David R. Legates, Professor of Climatology and an Adjunct Professor of Statistics at the University of Delaware, how the climate debate has been overtaken by deep state bureaucrats intent on preserving the “climate emergency” status quo. Professor Legates served as the Delaware State Climatologist from 2005 to 2011. He has testified before both U.S. Senate and U.S. House Committees and has given more than 125 invited presentations. Dr. Legates is recognized as a Certified Consulting Meteorologist by the American Meteorological Society and is the recipient of the 2002 Boeing Autometric Award in Image Analysis and Interpretation by the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing.
Join Dr. Jay Lehr, Tom Harris, and guest Professor David Legates in this week’s episode of The Other Side of the Story to learn what has been going on behind the scenes in the federal government, universities, and at the world’s leading science journals that has led to today’s climate paranoia. Dr. Legates discusses what the average citizen can do, indeed must do, to save the United States of America from the new climate totalitarians.
