“Emergencies have always been the pretext on which the safeguards of individual liberty have been eroded — and once they are suspended, it is not difficult for anyone who has assumed such emergency powers to see to it that the emergency persists.” – Friedrich August von Hayek in Law, Legislation and Liberty, Vol. 3, 1979, 124.

To “riff” off of Jeffrey Prather (retired special operations soldier and DEA agent; strongly recommended for liberty lovers): it didn’t begin when Wake Island fell to the Japanese, and all the soldiers were marched off to execution, slave labor, and death by starvation, it began. It didn’t end when Dunkirk had to be evacuated by a rag-tag band of small boats; it began; it didn’t end at the Greek defeat by the million-man Persian army at Thermopylae; it began; it didn’t end at Bunker Hill, it began. And it didn’t end with the violent removal of peaceful protesters in Ottawa. It began.

The Journal of the American Revolution writes The outcome of a war depends on far more than individual battles… There were, nonetheless, several battles that changed the momentum of the American Revolution – battles that stopped campaigns and caused changes in strategy. Just so with recent events in Ottawa, with the crushing of literal trampling of dissent by a corrupted police, which was not dissimilar to the initial successes of the Hessian mercenaries of the British 250 years ago. And similar to that, when early defeats did not presage the final outcome. And why? Because the British did not have the moral high ground, they did not have the hearts and minds of the people, and they were not on the right side of history.

Am I conflating the sons and daughters of the American Revolution with the sons and daughters of the Loyalists who fled to Canada (the motto of Ontario is Loyal She Remains)? Precisely so. The scions of both sides, along with the Aussie convict great-grandchildren of Botany Bay, and even some who are children of German Nazis, have all taken the “red pill” are now joined, together, in a battle for freedom as desperate as any in history.

Hyperbole? Perhaps.

But do you dare wait to find out you were wrong in downplaying this?

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? – Who will guard the guards themselves?

Corrupt, mercenary “Hessians” doing dirty work for elites too extreme an analogy? You be the judge. Here is an RCMP officer, live, on the phone, admitting on a recorded phone call that the Mounties did major sabotage work to potential protesters’ heavy equipment. This is not an accusation against the RCMP, and not a guess – they explicitly said so themselves. Here’s the thing: The people whose equipment they sabotaged had committed no crime; worse, they were on their own private property. What kind of RCMP is this?

If anyone else had done this kind of hugely expensive damage, it would have been a fairly significant criminal charge – excavators are not cheap, and the damage was extensive. But since the government conducted the illegal activity, it’s apparently just dandy.

Are Orwell’s “thought crimes” next on the list for the formerly highly respected RCMP under corrupt Trudeau?

As we always see, moral corruption preceded the illegal actions against the Ottawa protesters. For those outside Canada, Trudeau and his little 19 million dollar mansion in Tofino, BC., has been involved in multiple, massive financial scandals. See the WE scandal here (at the time, his third ethics scandal in five years), or the SNC Lavalin scandal. Also, the mansion is reportedly connected with a cannabis payment processor.

As the saying went during the Great Depression, “nice work if you can get it!” Take a further peek inside Trudeau’s seven-bathroom, six-bedroom little bolt hole here. Suffice to say, it ain’t no dingy 18-wheeler truck cabin! But of course, you already know, dear reader, that just like Hillary, nothing happened to Trudeau with all his corruption, nor will it (nor will it to Hillary). And when neither Canada nor the US is any longer a “nation of laws,” what happens? Can you say Venezuela? Banana Republic? Communist Romania?

Can you see why honorable RCMPers like Cpl. Bulford, who was on Trudeau’s personal security detail, or the last living author of the law of the land, the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, Brian Peckford, or these three Canadian special forces (the Navy Seals of Canada) have all bailed ship on the Covid restrictions and Trudeau’s fasco-Marxists? Peckford eloquently explains in an interview with John-Henry Westen, that democracy is in ‘grave danger’ of being canceled forever in Canada under Trudeau.

What? Is this North Korea Now?

Worse, some Ottawa riot police – in an insult to the transparency incumbent upon any democracy – had put tape over the names on their uniforms so they could not be identified, as they moved in to push, club, and trample with horses peaceful protesters; tow truck drivers, who initially refused to tow the protesters’ trucks, but were forced to do so under threat of arrest, then had their company names covered after they were compelled to conduct the tows. And of course, you know precisely the cover story why this was purportedly needed: Those “violent” protesters… the ones giving free food to the homeless, the ones dancing in the street, the ones with 5-year-olds playing in inflatable bouncy castles, or adults with impromptu street hockey games directly in front of Parliament? Perhaps the police were threatened by all those people with “Free Hugs” signs? One CTV broadcaster indeed complained of being spit on… but that is not quite TrueNorth journalist Andrew Lawton being physically assaulted by police when acting in the official capacity of a journalist. While spitting is not something that should have been done, it is hardly Antifa/BLM thugs burning buildings or the multiple gun deaths in Seattle’s CHOP/CHAZ zone; most rational people would agree.

Yes, Now First Nations, Elderly Women are also Racist and Misogynist.

The Ottawa police chief stated that a bicycle was thrown at the horses, necessitating force and their charge. Yet videos show this was a lie. Turns out it was a mobility chair which the horses ran over, that nothing was thrown by the protesters (per personal reports I have), and in a typical “your face hit my fist” whopper, the police chief directly simply lied through his teeth. One only hopes they pay him very well so he can sleep at night. We have seen the exact same “false flag” stories for hundreds of years. For example, Hitler’s pretext to start WWII, the Gliewitz fake attack. And the person injured? It was a First Nations woman. Presumably, “Black Face” Trudeau called her a misogynist racist, as well. Here’s the video of the trampling (viewer warning: police violence; none from the protesters). Admittedly it is hard to see everything, but do you see any bicycles flying through the air? The last report was that the woman had a broken collarbone and was taken to hospital in serious condition.

But you thought it couldn’t get worse right? Wrong. Researching the story – in something right out of Goebbel’s Der Sturmer, the genuinely frightening fake news organizations like Daily Beast here frantically reported that initial reports about the woman dying were wrong, and how horrible it was that people were accusing the police (which, strangely, they were trying to defund a year ago). You, dear reader, of course, see what is missing: Why were the horses charging unarmed, non-violent protesters in the first place? And because she “just” had, reportedly, a broken collarbone (which could end up causing a chain of events leading to death in the elderly), and didn’t die,  that makes it OK to leftist media? Imagine the howls from the fake news if this had been an elderly, female, Native Indian Antifa protester?

And speaking of being run-down, lost in the memory hole is, as reported by National File, an Antifa-associated member who tried to murder Winnipeg freedom protesters outside the Manitoba legislative buildings. This man, accused of raping women and children, ran down a group of demonstrators outside of legislative buildings in his Jeep Patriot. It was a miracle only four were injured. Police and mainstream media refuse to call it terrorism or attempted murder, but only a mere “hit and run” accident, and he is already out on bail. You can watch the attack here.

Then there is our favorite reporter, Alexa Lavoie, at Rebel News, Canada, being attacked and beaten by the police… in the capacity of an official reporter. There is no need to believe reports – watch yourself what the police did to her (and while at it, watch how “professional” these police are… actually dropping their guns on the ground while pushing at the protesters, then frantically scrambling to pick them up. What? Were Moe, Larry, and Curly also in the police line?) Lavoie told  Ezra Levant, “A cop hit her three times with a club and then shot a tear gas canister at her leg from point-blank range. Trudeau has instructed his police to attack journalists.” Watch the video at the link above yourself.

The police also officially stated there was no gas used in a tweet. View yourself: Does this look like “no gas” to you? (And please do not start with the “it was the protesters” gambit. Notice which way the gas was drifting. People don’t gas themselves.

Still, trust your police? Recently leaked to the media were internal messages written by RCMP riot cops. Rebel News reported the leaked messages in what appears to be a WhatsApp group for the Mounties. Some of the interchanges:  Time for the protesters to hear our jackboots on the ground, per one named Andrew Nixon. Another RCMP officer named Marca referred to a shocking incident where RCMP riot horses charged into the crowd of protesters, knocking over and injuring an elderly lady. Marca wrote, Just watched that horse video — that is awesome! Not exactly adherents of “to serve and protect” as the old Mounties were! We should practice that maneuver. The Stasi-like banter continues, which you can read in full at the link above.

This battle is no longer the “Loyal she remains” people north of the border vs. the Yankee rebels south of it; this is no longer a Dickensian convict shipped off to the penal colonies in the Antipodes (present-day Sydney) vs. Mother England. Instead, the issue is now a worldwide one demanding an answer to Roman poet Juvenal’s question: Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? (who controls the controllers, or who polices the police). What does one do when the police and authorities, themselves, are the ones doing evil? Canadians, Americans, Aussies, Kiwis, Brits, Swedes, Austrians –all want to know. And in a fitting pique of insanity, police even arrested Corporal Bulford of the RCMP, who was on the Mountie detail personally protecting Trudeau and visiting dignitaries. He quit and spoke out due to his commitment to freedom and honoring his Mountie oath. Shortly after was arrested. Watch yourself here. Then compare and contrast to the BLM/Antifa riots you saw a year ago. And does Bulford, currently in prison, remind you of anyone, perhaps from the 1960s?

Thankfully, we have some guides. Dietrich Bonhoeffer. Martin Niemoller. Martin Luther King. Martin Luther. Mahatma Gandhi. Corrie ten Boom. You know the list. But we also have more on our side: the controllers’ arrogance, paired with ignorance. The short book Great Military Disasters chronicles this well, but of course, Operation Barbarossa is most instructive. We have still more. Faith. Faith in the cause, but also the faith once given to the saints.

In the USSR, one old soul was asked how he survived all those decades under that regime, that the Trudeau regime is beginning to more and more resemble. His response? They forgot to remove Dostoyevski, Tolstoy, and others like them. With the truckers protest, we have not those same eloquent, literate writers, but rather rough-hewn, plain spoken truckers at the other end of the academic spectrum as the Russian writers were – but who have the exact same trenchant understanding into the human spirit, and what to do about it, as did Fyodor, Leo, etc.

We’ve seen this play before. It didn’t end well.

The Ottawa Emergency Act was presaged, as you may know, by the Enabling Act (Ermächtigungsgesetz) of 1933, after the Reichstag (German parliament) burned down on February 27, 1933 (a brief review here of the Enabling Act). The Nazi leadership, along with coalition partners, utilized the fire to claim there was an uprising, and thus needed total control; This gave Adolph Hitler absolute power over Germany, and he could then issue laws without Germany’s Parliament.

Does any of this sound familiar under Trudeau and Deputy PM Chrystia Freeland? Without having to delve into the law of the land in Canada, the Canadian Charter of  Rights and Freedoms, the last living author, Brian Peckford (noted above), has made little bones about how Trudeau’s Emergency Act is being utterly and completely misused. See here, or him speaking live to the protesters here.

Suffice to say, a bunch of non-violent people giving out food to anyone who asked, carrying signs that said “Free Hugs,” dancing in the streets, playing pickup street hockey games,  and 5-year olds playing in inflatable “bouncy castles” was, any rational person might think, hardly Marinus van der Lubbe burning the Reichstag.

This all could have easily ended if Mr. Trudeau had just deigned to simply speak with the protesters, as respectfully requested by Tom Marazzo in this address. In a speech to the Nation February 6, 2020, Dr. Paul Elias Alexander said: It is time that we stop, and we declare this pandemic emergency over… the truckers’ protests are backed by solid science, and the ‘government positions of these vaccine mandates have no scientific or medical bases and must be stopped now.”

The highly regarded Canadian physician Dr. Roger Hodkinson added: The mandates must be lifted tomorrow. “The carnage that’s going on out there with our children is indescribable.”

The protest was smashed into a thousand-piece by goonish police. But what they don’t know is that those thousand pieces are going to go back into a thousand communities and create what CS Lewis called a “good infection.”

It didn’t end with busting up Ottawa; it began. And the corruptocrats in power are about to find out what this entails.

When would you have the trucker convoy protest be ended?  It had gone on for more than two weeks, before the Emergency Act was invoked. The protest was then being funded  by international concerns, via fundme accounts.   The truckers had ‘moved into’ the Parliament government district. Allow the truckers one year, or two years, in their Chaz tent city, until they got their own way?   Give me a break.

How long would let 400 trucks block the streets Ottawa, and prevent ‘normal’ people from living their lives, freely going to the grocery store, freely going to the hospital, etc, because some jack a____’  truck is blocking the street. A bunch of cry babies who didn’t want to get a vaccine, under their selfish cry of ‘freedom’?  Using their trucks as their gonads, to extort some kind of change in health policy, in the name of freedom. How stupid and selfish. Let them try it in the United States of America. They will not pass ‘Go’, ever, nor go to ‘Jail’, because too many gun packing Americans are far more short tempered, than  Trudeau or any Canadian politician. You want to block Interstate 95 because you don’t want to get a Covid-19 vaccine, under the guise of freedom? Try it! And, bring your own bodybag with a proper shipping label.   You are not in Canada!

If I were Trudeau, on the third day, the ‘protest’ would have ended.  Caput.  Not two weeks later.

What about the other majority of Canadians freedom, not to have their streets clogged, and have a eyesore and stench filled Chaz, pollute their Parliament district? The blockage of at least four points of entry into Canada, because the truckers didn’t want to get a vaccine, to halt international trade? Really. And you want to blame Trudeau? A Canadian ‘Jan 6’   where a bunch of vaccine healthcare cry babies, use their gonads (their Peterbuilt trucks), to try to escape from being vaccinated, like some first grade child.

I personally don’t like needles, but I gritted my teeth and held my breath, and tried not to cry, for all three Covid-19 vaccines, like most true Americans, not thinking about ‘me’, but ‘we the people’.  The Canadian police should have publically vaccinated all of those truckers, and stamped their foreheads  ‘vaccinated’, before hauling them off to jail. The true ‘protest’ heroes are those Russians/Ukranians  in Moscow today (Feb 23), who were hauled off to jail  for protesting the Russian instigated war in Ukraine. Send those truckers to Moscow, they will find out what true tyranny is.
