Whatever happened to our Founding Fathers? You remember from history, right? They’re the ones who put their livelihood, their property, even their very lives at risk to forge a new country on this North American continent.
And while they certainly had their faults and failings as human beings as we all do, they were willing to put aside any differences and throw caution to the wind, working together to try to build a new nation.
Fast forward to 2020 and what do we have now? Corruption at the highest levels of our government and partisan politics to a sickening degree on both sides, but most notably on the part of the Democrat Party led by Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. Two career politicians who have produced nothing for the American people after decades of holding office.
Sent to Washington by their constituents to do good things on their behalf, but all of their campaign promises are quickly forgotten once the elections are over. How’s the old saying go, “fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me”? Apparently a lesson unlearned by the people who keep voting for career politicians like Pelosi and Schumer.
Americans have been poorly served by most of our politicians for many years now. But the escapades of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer are two of the most egregious examples of elected officials who have elevated partisanship to the highest levels, and who continue to fail us every single day that they hold office. Unfortunately both Pelosi and Schumer are only two examples of a political party bereft of ideas and leadership.
The most recent debate between Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden revealed that fact in very stark terms. Both of the Democrat candidates for president showed that they are completely out of their element when it comes to taking bold steps necessary to lead this country. Particularly through this ongoing health crisis we as a nation are experiencing.

As they stood on stage and traded charges they looked like two old codgers sitting on a front porch and arguing about who walked farther through knee-deep snow to attend school each day when they were young. Both were full of crap.

The country is dealing with a major crisis right now as we look for ways to overcome this Coronavirus threat, and the last thing we need is to change our horse midstream and bring in a new team that hasn’t a clue what they’re doing.
Both Biden and Sanders offered nothing but typical political sound-bytes that we’ve come to expect from career politicians who have spent decades in office filling their own or their family member’s pockets at tax-payer expense.
There is one overriding question we need to ask ourselves. Once this Coronavirus scare is over – as it will be in the not too distant future – who is best prepared to get our economy back up and humming along as it has been? President Donald Trump, or Joe and Bernie?
I think the answer is pretty clear. President Trump has a proven track record of doing just that. Sanders and Biden have nothing but empty promises made to whichever special interest group they happen to be courting.
We don’t need platitudes and political promises but instead decisive action and strong responses to the challenges we face. President Trump has done so, and he will continue to display the strong leadership necessary to guide us through these difficult times.
