Everything is big in Texas, and come this November, Hispanics are hoping their vote will loom large in the Lone Star state giving Republicans huge wins. But first, they have to win the local primary elections and upcoming runoffs where a number of Hispanic candidates are running.
Jenny Salinas (or as some call her, Jen-Lo) joins the hosts of “After Dark” to discuss the 2022 elections in Texas, where she says many Latinos will turn out and vote for Republicans. Although Democrats like Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have been visiting the state to shore up the left’s base, Salinas says the Hispanic community isn’t completely sold on the ideas of the left. This election cycle, she feels, will show many Hispanics voting red because the policies of the left have let them down. And while Democrats would like to think they will be able to turn Texas blue, a strong conservative Hispanic community might just be the voting block to prevent it.
Jenny Salinas is the National Vice President for Latinos for Trump. She has appeared at many Latino functions supporting Trump and Hispanics running for political office as Republicans.
