I think there’s one thing being overlooked concerning all the hype about Tucker Carlson releasing segments of the January 6th Capitol riot videos. And that is that what happened on January 6th was predicted by many people well in advance, and it should never have happened in the first place. Had the warnings been heeded, there wouldn’t be any videos to watch.

As soon as it was announced by President Trump that he was going to hold a rally in D.C. on January 6th, the day the election was to be certified, it was patently obvious to many of us that this was a huge mistake. It was predictable that this event would most certainly be hijacked by opponents of Trump to use against him, and very likely that bad things would happen as a result.

Days beforehand, I personally warned anyone who would listen that if they intended to go to D.C. to attend the rally that they needed to be on the lookout for provocateurs – people ‘dressed up’ as Trump supporters (ANTIFA in particular) who would turn the rally into a riot in an attempt to bring discredit onto MAGA and onto President Trump. I suggested that ‘real’ Trump supporters needed to work together to identify, separate, and isolate anyone who appeared to be there for the purpose of disrupting things, or agitating and provoking violence. Well, we saw what happened. The bottom line is that everything that took place could have, and should have been prevented.

In spite of all of his claims of offering National Guard troops that were declined by Nancy Pelosi and the Mayor of Washington, D.C., President Trump does indeed share responsibility for what took place that day. He allowed himself to be overtaken by events, and then failed to act with dispatch in calming things down.

He should have foreseen that his call for people to march to the Capitol Building had the real potential of losing control and getting way out of hand, and he should never have encouraged it. Since his supporters were fired up and angry, it may well have happened anyway in spite of anything he said, but at least he would be in a better position to defend himself against charges of ‘fomenting an insurrection’ had he not called for his supporters to “go to the Capitol to peacefully and patriotically” protest.

When you bring half a million angry people together, a whole division of National Guard troops is not going to be able to prevent a riot.Unless perhaps they are given orders to shoot to kill anyone trying to breach the U.S. Capitol Building. Was Trump willing to offer up the lives of his supporters in his vain attempt to stop the election certification?

You could multiply Ashley Babbitt by dozens, maybe even hundreds. I’m old enough to remember what happened at Kent State when you had a bunch of nervous and jumpy National Guard troops, under poor leadership, who were confronted by angry protesters. It’s history, we need to learn from it. Any National Guard troops who were posted around the Capitol Building and armed only with riot batons would have easily been overwhelmed by the mass of people, just as the Capitol Police were.

The pot was boiling in D.C. on that date, and many, many hands were involved in stirring that pot. Especially the Democrat Party leadership. There’s an argument to be made that supposedly street-smart and successful businessman Donald Trump basically got rolled by the dirty fighter and corrupt Nancy Pelosi.

It’s pretty obvious that Nancy was planning well in advance to turn Trump’s rally against him. She certainly saw the potential for what happened, and she took advantage of it. And President Donald Trump walked right into her trap. Definitely not one of his finest moments.

I know I’ll be crucified by all of the die-hard Trump supporters out there, and that’s fine. My skin is thick. I can disagree with someone without being disagreeable, but unfortunately, among many Trump supporters, that quality seems to be lost. Even mild criticism of the former president will generate vicious and vile personal attacks. The left is just as bad or worse.

Truth be told, I voted for Trump twice, not because I was a fan of his personality or some of his antics, but because of the results he promised and achieved. If by chance, he actually won the Republican nomination for president in 2024, I’ll vote for him again. Not because he’s my top choice, and not because I close my eyes to all of his faults – which are many – but because I’ll do everything I can to prevent the communist overthrow of our country by the Democrat Party.

But I have to be honest and say that my hope is that Republicans will nominate a strong candidate who can win in 2024 NO RINOs – and one who will help to heal the wounds of division that are tearing this country apart at the seams. Not one who will continue the daily drama that we’ve experienced before, and who does nothing but stoke the fires of hatred and division. It’s time to turn down the heat in this country.

We know that the communists in the Democrat Party and their news media allies will attack viciously any Republican, no matter who it is, but let’s not make it any easier for them by nominating someone they already universally despise and hate. It’s time to move our country forward, not backwards again.

Now let the flogging begin.

You are a RINO. So let’s not elect someone that we know FOR SURE will right this sinking ship. Some that we know for sure will put America first. Will fix the economy, the border, our foreign policy, fight the communists, also known as democrats. Let’s not support Donald Trump. Too many people don’t like him. That’s a great reason not to support the best President since Reagan and one of the best presidents ever. FJB and all the people that don’t support President Trump.

You worked for the CIA so it’s not surprising that you can’t think rationally. DJT is the very best president in your lifetime and you don’t even know it!!! Shame on you. This country will only move forward with DJT at the helm. Here’s a video you might enjoy: https://youtu.be/mkA2_nijiyE

Headlines like this make me laugh. The media is so broken in this country. Democrats are so broken in this country. President Trump has done an outstanding job at whatever he puts his mind to. Times were good when he was President. In my view, the election was stolen from him….irregardless, the people that didn’t vote for him because they don’t like his personality are what is wrong with this country, and it is what gave us the abject failure we are now going through with FJB.

The author is correct, it could easily be foreseen. He is wrong about an “angry crowd”. The people there were not angry at all. The only crimes committed were committed by the federal agents and Nancy Pelosi. That said, yes, Trump led his own people to the slaughter and did nothing about it after it happened. They have been in jail, many of them, for over two years. Trump has not done anything to help get them out after begging them to come to DC. I was there. For a smart guy, he is not very bright.

I totally agree with your assessment that the J6 rally was a complete setup from the beginning to discredit President Trump. At the time, I lived 40 miles south of DC and told my wife that this was a complete setup. I’d read several ominous warnings of the coming trouble and rightly stayed away that day despite believing that the election was stolen and wishing to support Trump.

However, I totally disagree with your assessment that the Trump supporters were in any way responsible for the events of J6. There was a lot of anger among us supporters, but there was never any intent to engage in the type of rioting practiced by the leftist antifa and BLM goon squads. The evidence exposed by Tucker Carlson was that the entire J6 episode was a “fedsurrection” coordinated by the Democrats with involvement by deep state intel agencies, antifa, and BLM wearing MAGA gear to discredit President Trump. Your refusal to explicitly place responsibility squarely on the shoulders of the Democrats by entertaining the thought that some portion of Trump supporters must have been involved since they were in close proximity perpetuates the Democrat myth of some measure of an insurrection by Trump supporters.

Actions taken by Trump supporters that day were either the result of entrapment by Democrat forces luring them into committing acts that could later be mischaracterized, or in direct defense of their lives and the protection of others who were egregiously attacked by the forces under Democrat control.

So according to your logic, the Summer of 2020 with all the murders and chaos is not even a footnote, but Trump and his supporters gathering as a witness in protest what they believed was a dishonest election in swing states was clearly a danger close oversight, irresponsible and predictably ended in violence against the Trump supporters, and it’s Trump’s fault. Now do Ray Epps.

This writer = pre-approved CIA deep state mouthpiece. President Trump let Pelosi and her cabal commit their crime, and now it is documented on film and in texts and emails. This was a sting operation. You can’t arrest a bank robber for robbery until they are inside the bank. Good luck. You will need it. Nice attempt at deflection. We’re eating popcorn.

Sorry, but there is no going back. I predict that no Republican will ever be elected President.

It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.

Trump may have not been fooled by Pelosi.
It’s looking more and more to me that they were in league with one another — and had been pretty much all along.
Two days prior to Trump first announcing his candidacy for the Republican nomination, he took had a guest at his N.J. golf course. Took him golfing. That guest was Bill Clinton. We heard about it way back when because Clinton had shooed away his Secret Service security, pushing them so far away that the agents later spoke out about it.
Now what exactly did those two have to say to one another? Does anyone really think that crooked Bill Clinton wanted his wife to be President, and have his own dirty laundry once again be subject to scrutiny (and mixed with Hillary’s own filth & corruption)???

We’ve all (most of us) have been fooled, and played off on one another.

Remember the first two years of his presidency, when Republican held the House of Representatives?
Who did Trump negotiate national budgetary issues with, first and foremost?
Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. The weak-ass Paul Ryan was left mainly in the dark, only told what they wanted him and other Republicans to know.
The Democrats were in charge THEN more than the elected representatives of people’s House.

Then we have a stolen election followed by the events of Jan.6.
Prior to that “rally” Trump promised he would explain in detail how the election was stolen– would supply PROOF —but did no such thing, that day, even though there was in fact abundant circumstantial evidence prior to, during, and after the 2020 elections that the Democrats were intent upon ballot box stuffing, and further intent upon getting away with it.

I agree President Trump handled the situation very badly. And Republican leadership was quietly against him, which must have angered him bigly, but petulance is not a strategy. He could have put himself above it all, but instead chose the cheap emotional satisfaction of an aggrieved adolescent for a lost cause. And gave his enemies ammunition to continue their attacks. Very bad. Will I vote for him again? My disappointment says no, but my pragmatic side says, we’ll see. Btw, he failed hugely on Covid, and can’t admit it. He will slip and slide on that one in the coming campaign, and shift blame. Very unpresidential.

This is a very fair and balanced assessment of how the whole Jan 6th debacle took place and could have been avoided. It was an obvious trap. Anyone who’s ever played a simple game of chess knows you have to at least attempt to predict what your opponent’s moves might be, and Pelosi’s moves were clearly being telegraphed long in advance. Trump as a so-called strategist completely failed, which has resulted in a ton of ongoing suffering for the political prisoners who have become pawns in this play, not to mention the rest of the country. Even today, Trump’s incapacity to admit he has lost is costing all of us. Their slander has effectively neutered him from ever being capable of uniting our country. Mr. Trump, it’s past time for you to put your narcissistic ego aside for the good of the Nation you claim to love. Admit you’ve lost and throw your full support behind someone who’s winsome enough to be effective. Reagan understood the need to be winsome, and that’s one of the most critical necessities of an effective public leader. Trump is no Ronald Reagan. His need to be validated can only further divide our fractured Nation. Dear voters, please thank him for his service and ask him to move on.

We’ll never know if he won or lost, so there’s nothing to admit, especially since it’s now confirmed that the government itself manipulated the election. But even without that knowledge, there was enough suspicious activity such that no one can claim the election was secure. It seems more likely that Biden hid in his basement because there was nothing he had to do to win.
