The SARS-CoV-2 virus is transmitted in the air and settles in the nose, and multiplies for days before it invades the body. When sick with nasal congestion, headache, fever, and body aches, the source of symptoms is the virus in the nose.

The virus must be killed in the nasal cavity at least twice a day after coming back home for prevention and up to every four hours during active treatment. This is very important with the Omicron variant, which multiplies 70 times faster than the prior strains of the virus.

Early treatment using this approach is associated with a 71% improvement, as shown in the figure. Also shown is a quick set up at home with povidone-iodine, which costs under $10 a bottle online.

Take 1/2 tsp mix in a shot glass 1.5 oz of water, squirt up nose, sniff back to the back of the throat and spit out. Do twice in each nostril, then gargle with the rest for 30 sec. Do not swallow. If iodine allergic or intolerant, can substitute hydrogen peroxide.

It’s a complete damn shame that these doctors/other voices cannot simplify this SH%#! And its the same with Ivermetin; they get on various podcast and tout how they themselves use and treat others with Ivermectin yet when you visit these/their websites, it’s an absolute con/maze trying to get this Ivermectin from them. That or they markup the price so high that one throws their hands to the clouds. It all seems to be a con game from both sides in this Covid 19/Omicron Flu fiasco.

It doesn’t matter if your store carries 1% or 10% povidone iodine. It needs to be diluted to 0.5% when you use it.

You need a 1% solution but it’s been sold out when I searched. But you can get 10% P.I. in the drugstore and even in the Dollar General. Basically you just add 1 part of the 10% Iodine to 9 parts purified water (a part is anything you want to use as a measure – 1/2 tsp., 1 tsp., whatever). I boiled filtered water and put my solution in a nasal spray top bottle.
This is copied directly from the IMask+ Protocol:

To make 1 % povidone/iodine concentrated solution from 10 % povidone/iodine solution, it must be diluted first.

One dilution method is as follows:

– First pour 1 ½ tablespoons (25 ml) of 10 % povidone/iodine solution into a nasal irrigation bottle of 250 ml.

– Then fill to top with distilled, sterile or previously boiled water.

– Tilt head back, apply 4–5 drops to each nostril. Keep tilted for a few minutes, let drain.

This gets so confusing but I think you were correct the first time. from 10% to 1%, requires 1 part P.I. + 9 parts H2O. Here is a Dilution Calculator. https://www.calkoo.com/en/solution-dilution-calculator

Check for yourself.

If you then want .5% P.I., mix 1 part 1% P.I. + 1 part H2O = .5 P.I.
Am I incorrect?

NEED CLARIFICATION as a half teaspoon (0.5 tsp) of ten percent (10%) povidone iodine seems like a lot when mixed in the recommended 1.5 ounces of water….

And for the hydrogen peroxide, the 1:3 ratio of standard off the shelf, is that one tablespoon (1T) mixed with the 1.5 ounces of water? That stung a little bit…

Wendy
Wendy
Reply to  Lis

You’re right, he says 1/2 teaspoon of 10% povidone iodine in 1.5oz waterbut if it stings, dilute it more.. And yes, 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide to 3 parts water can still sting a bit. I’ve done 1:1 and that really smarts! Only did it because I was getting some crud, it worked but I wouldn’t recommend that. 1:4 is most tolerable. A Dr. Thomas Levy is a guru on all things nebulized hydrogen peroxide. He recommends less dilution but I was getting a slight bloody nose on what he recommends, so I cut it down a lot.

When mixed as he’s stated, whether it’s for single use or to mix a larger amount, the over the counter povidone iodine you can purchase at most places is 10%. Use 1/2 teaspoon in 1.5oz water which gives you sufficiently diluted povidone iodine. I use 6oz sterilized or bottled water, 2 teaspoons of 10% povidone iodine, 1/2 teaspoon pure salt (sea salt or any salt with no additives). Spray up each nostril a couple times, snort it back, spit out whatever drains into throat. Then gargle for about 15 seconds. For gargling, you may use regular Scope or Listerine with natural oils. Go to FLCCC for more info.

If you go to FLCCC.net you can find a provider who is licensed in your state who will do telemed (which is a doctor appointment by phone or video visit, where you do have to pay something like any doctor visit), and you also can find pharmacies that are licensed in your state who will sell Covid meds. In advance of MD appontment, check with pharmacy to find out which pharmacy will be most affordable for you. In advance, keep in mind that most doctors will prescribe for you based on either 0.2 mg./ kg of body weight or more likely 0.4 mg. per kg of body weight, and the pricing can be affected by how much you weigh – someone who weighs 200 pounds will need twice as many milligrams as someone who weighs 100 pounds, and the severity of illness may affect the dose also. So – start with your weight in pounds and use an online converter to convert to kilograms. Say your weight is 180 pounds, that is 82 kg. Now, multiply by 0.2, and that is 16.4, so you may need a 16 mg. capsules to take maybe two at a time to be equal to the 0.4 mg/kg which is more often used these days. If you were taking a 5 day course of Ivermectin, you would need 10 of the 16 mg. to take two per day, or maybe just get a week of them to be sure – so, 14 of the 16 mg. capsules, which would be made for you at a compounding pharmacy since there are almost no regular retail pharmacies that sell Ivermectin. You can ask at a pharmacy, “If I have a prescription for 10 of the 16 mg. capsules (a compounding pharmacy uses Ivermectin powder and can make any milligram dose you need), how much will it cost? You can comparison shop – and most likely will have to get the medication shipped from a pharmacy in another city because so few will sell this. But it might be as little as $4 a day from some pharmacies, or I have heard of one pharmacy that was gouging, at about $100 per day of treatment. So, find what pharmacy you will use either in your own state or one that is licensed to ship to your state, and be prepared to give that info to the telemed doctor – though he may know a pharmacy that ships to your area or is located in your area, that is perhaps affordable. I do not know of any telemed doctors who make any money on the meds, but there are few pharmacies that will fill this due to pressure from FDA, and then shipping adds to cost also. But medication can be gotten very affordably, and some people take Ivermectin once or twice a week for prevention.

Join local awake groups. They are everywhere. There is always someone who can get ivermectin. We have been spoiled with our ‘free’ medical care and cheap / covered by insurance-toxic drugs – that teaches us to be upset when we have to ‘pay’ out of pocket for our health. We were always meant to advocate for ourselves and stay healthy eat healthy exercise etc. i am responsible for my health.
We all need to take personal responsibility for our health and yes, it comes at a cost. Research- learn to build immune system and heal with food and herbs and stock up on the rest.

Nature amps up the immunity for pregnant women to protect the forming baby. Doctors have recommended prevention such as staying away from crowds whenever possible, keep positive. See the writeup compiled by doctors here: https://worldcouncilforhealth.org/resources/covid-19-and-pregnancy-guidance-for-healthy-moms-and-babies/#pass-to-baby

Rinsing allows the liquid to drain out so it should not be too much of a concern unless you have hyperthyroidism. Alternatives to povidone-iodine are: Betadine Carageenan nasal spray; XClear Xylitol nasal spray especially the one with thyme. Use only on increased risk of exposure or it may cause too much dryness which is counter productive.

Quercetin is not well studied for pregnancies due to ethical reasons. A 2011 study in rats found a possible increase in iron accumulation that may manifest in baby’s adulthood. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22064046/

Keep a balanced nutrition, get fresh air, exercise and keep the stress down.

You are correct. 1 part 35% h2o2 mixed with 11 parts water would dilute to 2.92% h2o2. Here is how the calculation works. It’s a simple division problem. The numerator being the top number and the denominator being the bottom number. The numerator is the percent of h2o2. In this example 35%, so ’35’. The denominator is the total number of ‘parts’, in this case 1 part h202 + 11 parts water equals 12 total parts. The math problem is 35 (numerator) divided by 12 (denominator) = 2.92%

My doctor recommended saline solution (1 cup of distilled water with 1 tsp kosher salt). He recommended a ratio of either 2 to 1 (saline solution to 3% food grade hydrogen peroxide–get on Amazon) in the nebulizer cup or even as low as 4 parts ss to 1 part peroxide if the higher ratio bothers your tissues. I keep the cup of saline in the fridge-covered for a few days and mix it as I use it. They also advise the following on Iodine.
*Gargling with peroxide iodine mixture may help at first sign of sore throat-cold [In Vitro Bactericidal and Virucidal Efficacy of Povidone-Iodine Gargle/Mouthwash Against Respiratory and Oral Tract Pathogens – PubMed (nih.gov)]
*Lugol’s Iodine 5 drops in saline can be substituted or added to peroxide.

Thank you for a basic simple recipe of measurement. All these ratios are incredibly difficult for me to comprehend, not a math whiz, as some here are. So do you take (2) drops into an eyedropper, of the 8oz solution into each nostril for nasal application? How can you only put (2) teensy drops of nasal solution into a syringe?! Not possible. I would like to do the nasal application vs. gargle. What is a 10ml nasal spray? A bottle that size?

I think the formula for making the iodine mixture is unclear. Most Povodine iodines, or all that I’ve seen, are 10%. And most “recipes” use 1% Is that what is being called for here? 1/2 teaspoon of 1% or 10%? There’s a huge difference. Also, what is an easy way to make a 1% solution? i’ve never been able to get past that step to make my solution.

If you use Betadine Iodine, it contains 10% providine iodine, but the label states that it’s only 1% available iodine. So follow Dr. McCullough instructions. I used 1.5 oz distilled water with 1/2 tsp Betadine Iodine & a pinch of Celtic sea salt.

Using 1/2 tsp of the 10% povodine iodine product, to 1.5 oz. of water will net you a 1.67% solution. Dr. McCullough says they’ve found that as little as a 0.5% solution has been found to work. He also says that if it doesn’t sting, then your percentage is not too high.

I’m pretty sure he said if it DOES STING, the percentage is too high. A tsp is 5 ml, an ounce is 30 ml. Use a calculator (probably one one your phone…) and do the math. If it stings, just rinse it with more dilute.

1/2 teaspoon Povidone-Iodine to 3 Tablespoons of distilled (or boiled and cooled) water. (1.5 oz = 3T)
this should give you enough for 3-4 treatments per day. Make a new batch for the next day.

NetiPot:
In 8 ounces of BOILED water that has been cooled down, I add and dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of Neti salt and 1/2 teaspoon of 10% povidone iodine. That is a 1:10 ratio of iodine to water, or 1%.

I’d have to think a Neti rinse is much more effective than a bulb squirter, as the disinfecting water flows up one nostril, through the sinuses and comes back down the other nostril, pushing out globs of snot, if there is any. Nothing beats nasal congestion like a NetiPot.

I’m not a doctor, and I don’t pretend to be one in real life; but this is what I do.

Forget boiling; warm up distilled water in microwave for 20 secs. Put the solution in a shallow dish and snort it up your nose. Forget the Neti pots or bulb syringes. This is a nasal/sinus cleansing routine that is spoken of in old health books from the 1800s.

I have been snorting and cleansing my nasal passages for decades; hardly ever catch cold or flu — like 1x every 6-7 years. I’ve been using salt in warm distilled water — even a little cayenne pepper, sometimes add baking soda. Now I’m using the iodine solution — in 1sp in 6 oz distilled water, and I like to warm it up a little. No discomfort to this method and is very good at pulling out the — pardon me — snot and mucous. Thank you Dr. McCullough!

I love all the alternative medical practitioners fighting for health freedom. But I call bullshit. I suffered from severe annual upper respiratory infections my whole life until a decade ago. They almost killed me when I was a kid. Then I got fed up and studied alternative medical therapies, physiology, and biology. I learned to cut waaaaay back on mucus-forming foods like starch (you know, chips, bread, pasta, cake, cookies, french-fries, etc.) and dairy. I greaaaaatly increased my consumption of fresh fruit & veges. That was all it took to stop getting infections. Now, if I go overboard on soda, Sour-Patch Kids, cookies & ice-cream, and other mucus-forming garbage for a couple weeks, all that snot they make starts coming out of every pore & orifice in my body. It’s accompanied by all the symptoms labeled “cold” & “flu” – headache, fever, chills, coughing, sneezing, congestion, buggars, etc. It has NOTHING to do with germs and EVERYTHING to do with dietary errors. I like to demonstrate this for friends who are still bamboozled by the germ-theory propaganda the drug business uses to make people think their health is diminished by invisible demons that float through the air and can only be exorcised by their magic potions. That con has been going on for at least 100 years. When the masses learn to be healthy by eating healthy, the drug business will lose a LOT of revenue. When my dietary choices result in the above symptoms, I know the body is overflowing with toxins that I put in it and is trying to clean them out. So, I help it “clean house” by fasting: I stop putting food in it and only consume water. Our bodies are plumbing systems that have to be flushed like toilets that are overflowing. If I get so hungry while fasting that I can’t stand it, I eat low-sugar WATERY veges like steamed zuchini with butter & salt. After 48 hours of fasting, the symptoms have cleared up 80% because the body’s plumbing system has been flushed out. I’ve heard the process may take longer with age.

It sounds like this could be used as part of the normal water fill in a Navage machine, and that would presumably be far more effective than a simple “squirt up the nose”, although the chance of swallowing would probably be greater. I’d like to hear more about any side effects of accidently swallowing a portion of this dilute iodine mixture.

MikeH
MikeH
Reply to  Bruce A Hamilton

I thought the same thing. I did try it at the recommended dilution and it seemed to irritate the back of my nasal cavity too much for my liking. So I diluted it even further. The Navage measures to 8 ounces, so a 1/2 Tsp per 1.5 oz water would make for 2.6 (2-1/2) Tsp of the 10% Povidone-Iodine into 8 oz of water for the above recipe. So I diluted it to 1-1/4 Tsp Iodine to 8 oz water, there was still some irritation but I felt it was acceptable. I don’t do the Navage daily, more like once a week. But I do a daily nasal spray at the recommended dilution. Along with other supplements; D3, Querceten, C, NAC, Zinc and Boudsonide.

I did this on Christmas Day and couldn’t get it to the back of my throat after multiple squirts in each nostril. I did not feel myself swallow it, but my GI system has been messed up ever since🥺 Have been taking twice my probiotics to try and heal it.

He said GARGLE THE EXCESS in your throat. You’re not trying to get it down into your throat through the nose. . It is a 2-step process. I just watched all three hours of his interview with Joe Rogan. I highly recommend.

I survived COVID-19 a year ago. Jumped on hydroxychloroquine the first day of symptoms. Had Z pack and zinc and vitamin D three. Fought it like a boss.

Find a Doctor Who is willing to make a plan and come up with a combination protocol. It made all the difference that as soon as I had the first symptom I started the protocol. My husband got sick sooner had harder time ; started protocol later but did quite well considering he was at extremely high risk. We both have strong antibodies.

Uh, no, but then again you are not doing ENOUGH to have any effect at all. Snort the mixture from a shallow dish. Stop worrying so much. I remember as a kid the doctor swabbing my throat with iodine.

Dr. McCullough, I think you’re great and doing a great service, but please explain what the evidence for a pathogenic virus making people sick is. Please read the virology papers, note that no virus has been isolated from a sick person or shown to be contagious. Look at the work of Stefan Lanka. Something is making some people sick, and maybe the H2O2 irrigation helps, but how and why? It’s not killing imaginary viruses. Of that I’m sure. Maybe it’s helping co-infection with pathogenic bacteria. Bacteria clean up dead/dying tissue, and with the toxins in the air, respiratory issues are common. But this is very different from “viral infection,” which hasn’t been shown to exist.

I was wondering if anyone has considered the use of ‘Salt Pipes’?

I believe Russia, using Salt Rooms in the treatment of certain lung infections if memory serves me. Would the salt pipe (inhale thorugh the mouth, exhale through the nose’ be another alternative)

It wouldn’t be the first time Russia has good practices. I remember of 30yrs ago seeing a Russian discussion on the use of Phages. I suspect the Wests abhorrence to such medical suggestions in the past was because A) It was Russian and B) You couldn’t patent it.

Dr McCullough says that if you’re allergic to any iodine products, or if you have *hyper*thyroidism (overactive thyroid) then you can instead use 3/4 teaspoon regular 3% hydrogen peroxide in 1.5oz water (and a pinch of salt with no additives if you want). For *hypo*thyroidism (under active thyroid) there’s no problem with using the povidone iodine solution.

For hypothyroidism it is ok, but for hyperthyroidism it is not. On the America Outloud podcasts, Dr McCullough does a weekly Q&A and this question is often asked. He says for those with overactive thyroid or other issues where povidone iodine isn’t an option, then use the 3/4 teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide in 1.5oz water for nasal rinse and gargle.

Wendy, where did you get the exact measurements for the hydrogen peroxide and water ratio? Would you please point me to where exactly you had found it? I was listening to the McCullough Report podcast where he mentions about using hydrogen peroxide instead of povidone iodine for patients with hyperthyroidism and shellfish and iodine allergies. However, he does not list the exact measurements. I am also on the FLCCC site often too. It lists how to do the povidone iodine. It does not list the measurements you are giving for hydrogen peroxide. Please help.

Hi Dr. McCullough! I made this mixture based on your video as soon as I saw it. My hubby recently had a heart attack and I won’t let him get the vaccine 😁 but I want him safe so this seemed perfect! We use it all the time but does this solution/mixture have a shelf life? I’ve had this batch for about 3 weeks, should I make new?

adding more pv into bottle to get the “dark tea” color. What is the shelf life of the solution in my bottle?

Do you have a link to the above article, please? I assume the above dilution is for 10% solution, and for a 1% Lugols solution would be 1/10th of a half tsp in 1.5oz water? Regular tap water OK or mix with saline balanced solution?
Thank you for your advocacy to treat.

Watch his interview with Joe Rogan https://odysee.com/@jackspirko:a/rogan-mccullough:6?r=DCmjXa1KhfqPrJfFpB6DzEpuuShSZWRY to hear him talk about using saline. The video interview is 2hrs 45min and worth the listen! If you want info right away about the Betadine go to minute 39. He said 2 tsp betadine and 6oz h2o. Use in your nose, then gargle with rest and then gargle with Scope/Listerine. In that interview, he said it reduces viral load by 75%. At 1:09:30 McCoulough mentions that Bangledesh is down to almost zero cases b/c they are using nasal and oral iodine protocol.

You can do a search for AAPS Statement on Betadine as COVID Preventive and you will find more detailed info and a link for detailed instructions and video. Although the dentist that does the video says 1 oz Betadine to 19 oz distilled water, but what he writes is 20 oz distilled water.

Because I’m a post-sinus surgery patient that has been using Neilmed’s powered sinus rinse system for years to prevent polyps and new sinus infections, I already own a machine I’m using to pump through a saline solution through the sinuses 1-2 weekly followed by my ordinary course of Flonase to manage my on-going allergic rhinitis. Can I use my sinus pump with this solution and gargle with the rest? The back of the throat snorting thing for me is a no-go due to other complications I have making it a swallow/inhalation risk. I switched to that April, 2021 after decades of using basic Listerine due to finding out that alcohol-based mouthwashes are almost worthless if not somewhat harmful and cetylpyridinium chloride is effective at Actually killing odor-causing bacteria. But now I’d like to know if should you gargle the iodine solution before or after gargling with a cetylpyridinium mouthwash?

I’m wondering if this also works for colds and flu? I already had Covid and from what Dr. McCollough says, you cannot get Covid twice, or at least there is no evidence of that. So would this also help if you have been exposed to someone with cold or flu symptoms as well?
If so,
What would be the “recipe” for using the Neti pot with Hydrogen Peroxide. And what kind of Hydrogen Peroxide? Does it need to be food grade or can you use your typical 3% hydrogen peroxide (one that can is also used for gargling, only ingredients are 3% hydrogen peroxide and purified water)
Any information is appreciated
Thank you

When you say Dr. McCollough says you cannot get covid more than once, I believe you’re referring to his comment in his Joe Rogan interview. That was confusing to many as most all of us know that you certainly can get covid more than once. Dr. Malone made a clarification to Dr. McCollough’s comment in Dr. Malone’s interview with Joe Rogan. He said that Dr. McCollough called him and asked him to tell the Joe Rogan audience he meant you cannot get the same variant more than once. So if you had delta, you most certainly can get omicron.

I had delta in August. My hubs just had omicron after Christmas. On the 3rd night together post his onset of symptoms, I had milder symptoms like he was having (night sweats, mild fever, and joint aches) for 1-2 nights. All in all, I was able to care for him and not break stride.

Well here is an alternative option and it worked well for me. I snorted activated carbon or charcoal. I basically was cured in 48 hours. I’m no doctor I just tell it as it was. It happened and I had a major lung problems I could not lay down. I was taking the activated carbon and went into a coughing fit so accidentally inhaled it and blew it out my nose. One tiny capsule is all it took.

Considering that they still have never isolated and purified a sample of the original COVID-19 virus to establish a baseline, how is it that they can determine any deviation from it to define any kind of “variant”?

Wouldn’t it be more proper to refer to them as booster 1 variant, booster 2 variant etc.?
