The Top Stories: RNC, Donald Trump is nominated for four more years | President Trump on Thursday accepted the Republican nomination for the 2020 race against Democrat Joe Biden in a speech that went about 70 minutes. The contrast between the two candidates and the two conventions provided a clear choice for Americans going into the final few months of the 2020 campaign. Rand Paul says he feared being killed during clash with BLM activists |  After leaving the Republican National Convention in Washington, DC, Senator Rand Paul was confronted by an angry mob. “They were trying to push the police over to get to me. They were grabbing at us, and it got worse and worse and worse, and finally, we decided to make a move. … they were shouting threats to us, to kill us, to hurt us, but also threats saying shout, shouting, ‘Say her name,’” he said. This became a scene playing all over the DC area as angry mobs confronted citizens⏤leaving many to question the lack of police enforcement and the politics behind these mobs. Nationwide Sports Shutdown | Athletes in the NBA, WNBA, MLS, MLB and pro tennis all refused to play with a mass boycott that quickly became a major national story. “Why does it always have to get to the point where we see the guns firing?” questions LeBron James.
