Also a Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research, and also at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies, and also at the Hoover Institution. Today we discuss his and my experiences as “dissident” professors in our universities, what academic censorship and academic freedom mean, and why university freedom can be unpleasant at times but is mandatory not just for universities but for society as a whole in order to make progress in knowledge and general quality of life.
