Dr. Scott Jensen, like so many other doctors who fought on the front lines through the Covid pandemic since 2020, has experienced the intentional targeting of medical professionals who chose to use their clinical knowledge from years of experience to do what they could to help promote positive outcomes in their communities. It would seem so American that they would be honored and recognized for their service through the pandemic, but instead, they have been demonized and targeted, and their licenses threatened.

All his many years of experience as a family medicine doctor prepared him for such a time as this. Dr. Jensen had to endure six investigations of his medical license based on anonymous reports. These investigations conveniently occurred while he was running for governor. Now he is pursuing justice to make sure that these regulatory agencies’ boundaries are more clearly defined. It’s not just doctors who are adversely affected by these regulatory agencies acting unconstitutionally. Numerous careers throughout America are impacted by regulatory agencies. We need Republican conservative legislators to wake up and understand The American people are counting on them to effect necessary change. But while we wait for legislators to do their job, the American people are taking their cases to the highest court in the land. All Americans, including doctors, should be able to express their heartfelt convictions on a given subject, without threat of reprisal. Free speech applies to all of us.
On this special episode of Nurses Out Loud, my guest is Dr. Scott Jensen. He has practiced family medicine in Carver County, Minnesota, for 35 years, and this is where he and his wife, Mary, a small animal veterinarian, raised their three children – Cristy, an anesthesiologist; Matt, an estate attorney, and Jackie, a family doctor. Dr. Jensen served in the Minnesota Senate (2017-2021) and was vice-chair of the Health and Human Services Committee. He was the Republican gubernatorial candidate in the 2022 election. He has served many organizations as a board member or chair, including the Waconia School Board, numerous Rotary and Lions clubs, several Chambers of Commerce, and bank boards. He is an avid pilot and writer, publishing his first book in 2015, “Relationship Matters,” and his second book, “We’ve Been Played,” in 2022.
In 2001 he founded Catalyst Medical Clinic, which now has offices located in Watertown and Chaska. In 2016 Dr. Scott Jensen received the prestigious award, of Minnesota Family Physician of the Year, from the Minnesota Academy of Family Physicians. He taught at the U of MN Medical School for 30+ years; retired as Adjunct Associate Professor-2020. The following is a partial list of Scott’s lifetime community service.
