Economic Marxism seeks to empower government as the rightful owner and proper steward of all wealth by indoctrinating completely false definitions of wealth, poverty, and economic status.

>  1  “Wealth is a limited resource,” say the Marxists. “It must be stewarded by a benevolent authority lest the greedy ‘rich’ people get it all.”

This definition apparently assumes that a “wealth pie” – a finite amount of wealth – fell to Earth from the ether at some point. And it’s up to wise ruling elites to see to its “fair distribution.” The narrative is so absurd and so nakedly self-serving that it’s hard to see how it continues to support any ideology, never-mind one that produces nothing except human tragedy on a Biblical scale.

Wealth is not a ‘resource’ but a result of producing more economic value than is consumed; value that is therefore accumulated by the one(s) producing it.

>  2  “Poverty is an insufficiency of money,” say the Marxists. “If greedy rich people didn’t hoard so much for themselves, these poor people wouldn’t be poor. We can remedy the problem by taking some money from the rich and giving it to the poor.”

Poverty is not a chronic insufficiency of money but of produced value. (Money is only a representation of produced value.) A person is lifted from poverty when empowered to produce economic value equal to or exceeding his/her needs.

In many decades of “war on poverty,” the Marxists of the political left have not only failed to eradicate poverty, they’ve exacerbated it by subsidizing rather than helping to increase the chronically-insufficient production of the person in poverty.

>  3  The Marxists’ consistent reference to “the rich,” the “middle class,” and “low income” are used as if these labels describe classes of people rather than the way in which people are distributed at any given time across varying classifications. By using “Low income,” for instance, to describe a group of people, they demand policy that treats entry-level earning capacity as a permanent condition for those they deem “low-income.” This forms the basis of their demand that entry-level jobs (like fast-food service) be compensated at a rate sufficient to justify making a career of such a job.

Economic status describes a present condition, not a permanent state of a person or group of persons. The individuals occupying the various statistical categories of economic conditions are constantly changing. Why? In a condition of relative economic liberty, nearly all people progress from entry-level wages to higher earnings, from subsistence earnings to wealth-building. Most can verify the truth of this by briefly examining our own lifetime earnings record (available on your annual Social Security statement).

Economic mobility is the relative ease or difficulty with which an individual can rise on his/her merits. This is a far better measure of a just economy than is the extent to which a government sustains its “pet class” by stealing its citizens’ earnings. Ironically, economic mobility is among the first casualties of sclerotic Marxist regulation because its focus on “fair distribution” rather than value production induces crippling economic constipation.

Each of the lies offered by Marxist economic theory serve to leverage class envy and self-pity to generate political support for government control of wealth, which, ironically, produces the PRECISE injustice that “socialism” was sold to prevent: a vast migration of wealth to the elitists in power.

Social Marxism seeks to establish totalitarian control over social and economic order in pursuit of “social justice” as defined by forcibly-engineered statistical parity among “competing” factions.

>  4  “Statistical differences between racial groups (or other factions) are all evidence of injustice – ‘systemic’ racism, bigotry, phobia, etc.”

The different outcomes they decry as “evidence of injustice” can never be eradicated because they reflect human diversity of goals, priorities, aptitudes, talents, background, etc. That has made statistically-described differences a never-ending source of political fuel for the Social Marxists who present this fact of human existence as a cause for factional grievance, one easily converted into political capital.

>  5  “When our Party takes control, we’ll ensure that Black, Brown, LGBTQ, and other ‘marginalized’ groups are fairly represented in leadership roles throughout society!”

Of course, the result of this collectivist thinking is the erosion of individual empowerment to rise on the strength of her or his accomplishments, skills, talents, and experience. We are seeing the dangerously degenerative influence of this ideology overtake industries and entire economic sectors in their embrace of DEI hiring and promotion goals in place of achievement.

The Biden administration is modeling this purposeful eradication of excellence and merit. Membership in the LGBTQWTF “community” has quietly become a requirement for appointment in his administration. And he bragged of having chosen his new Press Secretary on the basis of color and sex; the same selection criteria we often use to choose a household pet.

The lies on which both Economic and Social Marxism rely present the ideology as a pursuit of justice. In each case, the opposite of justice is produced because the life and rights of the individual are disregarded and replaced by the factional pandering on which the Marxist ruling class relies for generating its political capital.

The combination of disempowered individual citizens and government power freed of accountability to the rights of flesh-and-blood human beings has proven to be the single deadliest threat faced by any society.

Each of Marxism’s lies is laid bare against the power of the truth on which our nation was founded:

Respect for the equal standing of each person’s life and rights is the foundation of all moral conduct.

This is the Purpose of Law and the Measure of JUSTICE.
