Those of you old enough to remember the TV show Hee-Haw probably remember the song “Gloom, Despair, and Agony on Me.” It was part of a skit where men would sit around complaining about their life. As I look at the news, I’ve been struck by the use of “emergencies” and “disasters” to run rough-shod over the Constitution and the American people. It’s getting to the point where I want to sing “Emergencies, Disasters, and Tyranny on me…”
