The Preamble to the Constitution lists the reasons why it was drafted. The second item on that list is to establish justice:
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
But have We the People, fulfilled that promise? If not, are we going to do something about it? After all, if one of the reasons we ordained and established this Constitution for the United States of America is to establish justice, shouldn’t we also make sure it fulfills that promise, and all of the purposes behind it?
