It’s probably a good thing that we still have a Constitution to turn to even if Biden’s Progressive government ignores it and follows its own set of rules. I hasten to add, Biden only controls his nap time, not his mouth, and he doesn’t have a handle on what his masters want. Whenever he attempts to be his own man, his teleprompter betrays him, and he goes off babbling in la-la land on issues he can neither remember nor has any knowledge about these issues.

The Facebook phenomenon that at its beginning gave a method of free expression to all Americans, as the first amendment allows, was quickly preempted by the dark forces of progressivism as dangerous to their new philosophy for American happiness⏤Marxism.

Suppose Facebook and now other platforms for public expression were allowed to continue as free enterprises. How then could the corrupted educational establishment successfully proceed with its indoctrination of American students with the catechism of Marx and Engels?

As politically correct as it has become, as government demands, Facebook is now voluntarily censuring Americans on Progressive governments’ behalf. But, they still must maintain some measure of earning profit despite more demands to control the free speech of Americans. Groups can now use the medium to talk about their hobbies, lifestyles, and politics to express their displeasure at governments’ malfeasance. But, there’s a trap there! I am explicitly referring to the sixty more or less Border Patrol Agents, some fired and some disciplined, who simply agreed with or provided smiley emojis that rightly ridiculed the Biden administration’s incompetence on their private group federal agents Facebook website. 

The Hatch Act of 1939, a federal law to prevent “Pernicious Political Activities,” prohibits civil service employees in the executive branch, except the president and vice president, from engaging in some forms of political activity. Generally, It also prohibits federal employees from engaging in partisan political activities while on duty, in a Government room or building, while wearing an official uniform, or while using a Government vehicle. 

Okay, I get all that but, it doesn’t prohibit free speech, reading, and commenting on the opinion of others on our systems of electronic expressions, computers, and smartphones. Partisan political activity is the operative phrase here, not laughing at jokes about an idiot phony president. That issue will indeed have to be settled by courts. By law, federal employees are prohibited from engaging in political activity while on duty or in a federal building. And here is where push comes to shove: “Political activity is defined as any activity directed toward the success or failure of a political party, partisan political group, or candidate for partisan political office.” Does consulting one’s smartphone included in the term “Political Activity?” Does it prohibit ridicule? If it’s a government-issued phone, probably!

Other laws interfere with one’s ability using electronic methods or print even to express an opinion critical of someone else, and that’s the libel and defamation of character laws, except as they apply to public figures. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are both public figures worthy of ridicule. As Border Patrol Agents are federal employees, there’s a thin line to walk when employed by the federal government. 

Emojis aren’t one of them. Besides, if government is going after employees who join in the deserved ridicule of politicians, how should government react when an employee refuses to obey an illegal law? Biden’s government is illegally inviting hoards of illegals across our borders, and Border Patrol Officers are illegally ordered to assist them. BP and ICE Agents have invested time, effort, training, and retirement in their jobs. To resist Biden’s Executive Orders is to throw all that away!

The Federal Government has grown far too big. It’s time to pare it down considerably. Where do we start? Start locally. Run for public office, like school boards, commissioners posts, and whatever other elective job is filled by a Democrat!

Remember, freedom is the goal; the Constitution is the way. Now go get involved.
