It’s said that sunlight is the best disinfectant. That should raise two questions, how much sunlight do you shine on what the government does, and how much on what you do? Most people are blissfully unaware of just how much information they share about themselves on the internet. Most of us carry smartphones, which are basically listening and tracking devices. And with the holiday shopping season in full swing, advertising for “smart home” devices is everywhere. I wonder how many of the people buying these devices realized they are installing listening devices that are sending everything they hear to the parent company for analysis? Then, we’ll look at some recent efforts of those in government to keep hidden what they’ve been doing. When those in government are hiding their actions while the people are exposing theirs, the opportunities for abuse are numerous.
