When I was a child, public schools were generally safe places to be. Sure, some bad things happened, and sometimes people got hurt. But I doubt my mother was worried about my sister and me when we went to school.
Today, however, government-run schools are not safe. I’m not talking about any of the recent school shootings, but something far more sinister. When there’s been a school shooting, it was generally a student or someone from the outside that was the perpetrator. However, a quick look at what passes for education in government schools today shows that the long-term danger to our children is actually coming from the inside.
