Say it isn’t so that America’s best days are behind her.
With 50 individual states. America is a young 246 years old. Compared to other countries with long, rich histories, America has a brief, rich, explosive history that has impacted the world like no other nation on earth.
The United States has experienced many serious challenges during its brief history. The country has fought wars, starting with England, for our independence and freedom. We’ve fought internal wars like the Civil War, which kept the states together as a Union and ended slavery. The country has also had its’ share of civil unrest, with the biggest being the Civil Rights Movement solidified the essence of our Constitution that all men are created equal.
There is a regression taking place in every institution of the country, from education to politics and more. All of the gains made in these areas to unite us are falling apart. The American way of life is in jeopardy.
Even our venerable governing document, The Constitution, which has held us together during moments of uncertainty and crisis, is under attack. What’s interesting is who the attackers are. They are those who have benefitted from it and those who took an oath to uphold it.
It is one thing for attacks to come from those who hate the country, but when those attacks come from politicians within our government, there is reason to pause and wonder what has happened. We need more of our best of the best stepping forward to serve our country and lead.
