We all know it happens. People are prosecuted, or in some cases more heavily, because of some political agenda. But how far is too far when it comes to politically based prosecutorial decisions? Recently, I’ve been listening to the audiobook of Solzhenitsyn’s Gulag Archipelago, where he describes many who were incarcerated, tortured, and killed for their political beliefs. Based on that, I would say that any politically based prosecutions are too many. But it appears many Americans disagree with me.
