When Joe Biden referred to his political opponent as “semi-fascists,” it made me think that he might be “projecting,” seeing his flaws in others. From the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, fascism is defined as “a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.”
I don’t know about you, but that sounds a lot like what America is looking like. The federal and most of our state governments seem to put the group, political, race, and sexual, above the individual, promoting autocratic centralized governments headed by dictatorial leaders. We are suffering under severe economic and social regimentation along with the suppression of any opposition. So based on Merriam-Webster’s definition, it seems we are already living in a fascist America. The question is, do the majority of We the People want to return to liberty or remain slaves of these fascists?
