A young white filmmaker whose quest to understand the hatred and marginalization of black conservatives results in a new documentary film about the lives of prominent black conservatives. In this episode, I interview Justin Malone, a film director, editor, cinematographer, and native Texan. What emerges from the film is the forgotten story of the heroic acts of Uncle Tom, the protagonist in Harriet Beecher Stowe’s classic work, Uncle Tom’s Cabin.
