Here we are in July 2021, and we’re still dealing with the aftermath of the 2020 election. From accusations and evidence of irregularities, if not outright fraud, to the hyperbolic claims of racism and Jim Crow, this may go down as the most questionable election in American history. We have federal officials making baseless claims about voter integrity laws, state actors impending audits, and courts in the middle of everything. In the midst of all of this case, there’s one question that has yet to be answered. Can we trust the results of the election? And if we cannot trust the outcome of our elections, are we still a republic?
