Pastor Stevens says ‘don’t get caught up in fear mongering’ regarding end of times, ‘don’t get caught up in worry about end of time’, ‘ don’t worry trust Jesus’. ‘Things are not concretely described’ regarding end of times. Jesus himself stated, Luke 21:25—-‘in the earth there will be anxiety (‘sunoche’) of nations, with bewilderment (‘aporia’) …men fainting at heart for fear (‘phobou’) and expectation of those things which have come on the earth, for the powers of heaven shall be shaken’. Luke 21:36 —- ‘Begging (‘deomenoi’) that you be accounted worthy to escape all those things which are about to come to pass’. This anxiety, fear, bewilderment, begging for deliverance by mankind describes the state of mankind just before Jesus’s second coming. Partially because ‘the powers of the heavens themselves shall be shaken’. Mainly because of the great tribulation that will occur here on Earth. Matthew 24:22 —–‘there will be great affliction (‘thilipis’) such as not has happened since the beginning of the world until now’. Matthew 24:29 – ‘immediately after the affliction (‘thilipis’) of those days…..the stars will fall from heaven, the powers of the heavens will be shaken’. After the great tribulation, then the great judgment, Matthew 24:47-51. Man’s fear of God and Jesus, should take place before Jesus’s return and judgment of mankind. Jesus return will be a cosmological event, or will be to partially correct then occurring cosmological events, ‘the falling of the stars from heaven’. But mainly to judge this World (sinners and unbelievers in Jesus as their Lord and Savior) and Satan (the ‘beast’). Revelation 6:15,16—- ‘the kings of the earth, and the great ones, and the rich ones, and the commanders , and the powerful ones ….said to the rocks and stones, fall on us, hid us from the face of the One sitting on the throne, from the wrath of the Lamb, because the great day of His wrath has come.’ Fear of God and Jesus may work a personal miracle on your person (eternal soul), by just adding Godly repentance to your life, before the great day of judgment. Revelation 16:10 — ‘the fifth angel poured out the bowl onto the river Euphrates, …and gnawed their tongues from the pain, they blasphemed the God of Heaven because of the pains and sores of them, and they did not repent of their works.’ You can pay the Lord now by repenting for past and present sins, or you will pay Him later. Avoid the eternal pain and anguish, fear God, and fear Jesus who rose from the dead.
