With the release of the Durham Report, we have yet another example of the corruption that seems to be so evident in Washington, D.C.
We should ask ourselves, is government corrupt by nature, or is it something else?
While I’m sure, many of you may answer that question with a hearty “YES!” I think a closer look will show that it does not have to be.
We’ve all heard the joke, “How can you tell when a politician is lying?” The answer is usually some variation of “Their lips are moving!” Consider this, what does it say about the American people who keep hiring liars, cheats, and thieves to represent them? And why do we keep the politicians that lie, cheat, and steal the best around the longest?
Perhaps it’s not the government that is rotten to the core but the way the American people treat it.
