With the economy in a free fall, high inflation, overseas crisis, crime out of control, and culture wars, Republican candidates should be “shoo-ins” during the November elections. That victory, however, could be snatched from them. A few senior members in the GOP are warning the party against the foreseen predicted “Red Wave.” With the wind once at their backs, Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is issuing a somber tale of a possible defeat, and it’s just the summer.
Complaining about the lack of good candidates, the Minority Leader, is telling his party and news outlets that Republicans might not take either house come November. His dire prediction comes on the heel of MAGA candidates, who were supported by former President Trump, winning their elections and now facing a battle to the finish line in November. McConnell’s defeatism comes as no surprise to MAGA supporters, for they have always viewed him and others, like the recently defeated Liz Cheney, as RINOs, who are against Trump and his movement.
David McGrath recently joined the hosts of After Dark to discuss McConnell and his brigade of weak Republicans. He also shares his thoughts on the anniversary of the US’s embarrassing withdrawal from Afghanistan under the Biden regime. David McGrath is a war-injured veteran of multiple middle eastern deployments over 18 years. He has been published in a variety of outlets like The Conservative Daily News, Breitbart, and Town Hall. David is active in local, conservative politics and is the father of two boys.
