64% Think The January 6 Attack On The Capitol Was Planned, Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds | With the House select committee examining the attack on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, Americans, 64 – 30 percent, say that the attack was planned rather than spontaneous, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll. Democrats say 84 – 13 percent and independents say 61 – 30 percent that the attack was planned. Republicans are divided, with 49 percent saying it was planned and 46 percent saying it was spontaneous.
Does Trump run again? | Americans were asked whether they are more or less likely to vote for a political candidate for office who says they believe the 2020 presidential election was stolen from Donald Trump. Fifteen percent of Americans say they are more likely to vote for that candidate, while 45 percent say they are less likely to vote for that candidate and 35 percent say it makes no difference. Thirty-five percent of Republicans say they are more likely to vote for that candidate, while 17 percent say they are less likely to vote for that candidate and 44 percent say it makes no difference.
Record-Low 38% Extremely Proud to Be American | Gallup Poll – 38% of U.S. adults who say they are “extremely proud” to be American is the lowest in Gallup’s trend, which began in 2001. Still, together with the 27% who are “very proud,” 65% of U.S. adults express pride in the nation. Another 22% say they are “moderately proud,” while 9% are “only a little” and 4% “not at all” proud.
Supreme Court Rules Biden Can End ‘Remain in Mexico’ Policy | The Supreme Court ruled 5-4 that the Biden administration could cancel the Trump-era “Remain in Mexico” program. Supreme Court EPA Ruling | The Supreme Court has dealt a major blow to the EPA’s power to regulate carbon emissions that cause climate change. By a vote of 6 to 3, the court said that any time an agency does something big and new – in this case addressing climate change – the regulation is presumptively invalid unless Congress has specifically authorized regulating in this sphere.
