President Joe Biden has mastered the reverse Midas touch. Every policy he puts his hand to turns into a pathetic Fractured Fairy Tale.
Nothing illustrates this curse more than Joe Biden’s and Dr. Anthony Fauci’s management of America’s COVID-19 Pandemic. As COVID mutates and constantly reinvents itself, the more Biden and Fauci double down on their deeply flawed, manic COVID-19 public health policies. Every new COVID-19 variant looks like a nail to Dr. Fauci, who continues to hammer away with vaccines that are increasingly inadequate in containing and mitigating each new variant’s velocity to infect Americans.
The problems are fourfold. After an incendiary demagoguing of President Trump for handling the worst public health crisis of a century, President Biden put his total trust in Dr. Anthony Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy, and Infectious Disease (NIAID), to set policy on all things COVID-19.
First, Dr. Fauci has staked the Biden administration’s entire COVID-19 solution on two interventions. The first is vaccination, and the second is the widespread use of facemasks. But, unfortunately, there are no scientifically based clinical studies demonstrating facemasks help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Moreover, as the coronavirus continues to mutate, new variants have found their way around most of the protection allegedly offered by vaccination.
Second, this past summer, the Whitehouse thought they had sufficiently beat back the Delta COVID variant to the point that they told the public they could discard prior facemask policies. Furthermore, they told a dozen or more private COVID-19 Home Test manufacturing companies the Federal government wouldn’t be buying any more Home testing kits, so they closed these operations.
Third, the Whitehouse has completely disregarded sound medical advice from scores of medical groups to develop ambulatory therapeutics to combat COVID-19 in the unvaccinated and vaccinated.
Fourth, the administration met that pushback from Americans who refused to get vaccinated for personal reasons or those who had acquired natural immunity from a prior COVID infection by imposing a Federal mandate to get vaccinated or lose employment.
