Rep. Ted Lieu of California is known for talking a lot of noise on Twitter and not doing much for his California constituents. Well, he better look out because there is a new guy in town named Joe Collins, and he is eyeing Lieu’s seat in Congress.
Collins, who had recently run against Maxine Waters for Congress in his old district, will face off against Lieu as part of a new redistricting in California. The army veteran said he isn’t afraid to go against the seasoned politician who hasn’t done much to represent the voters in his district 36. Collins plans to capitalize on the failures of the Democrats to win his race against Lieu. He also intends to go into Democrat-populated areas to campaign in an attempt to sway some of those voters who are tired of the Democrats’ failed policies.
Joe Collins is a native of South Central Los Angeles. He is a Candidate for Congress in California’s 36th District. He is a 13 1/2- year Navy veteran. He began his military career specializing as a naval jet aviation mechanic, working on and then training thousands of sailors on aircraft, including the F-18 Super Hornet fighter, E-6 Mercury Airborne Command Post, and MH-60 Sea Hawk Assault Helicopter. As a leader in uniform, he obtained several military and civic certifications. During his time in the Navy, he achieved the rank of Petty Officer First Class. He is a licensed financial professional and a Certified Counselor for rape and sexual assault victims.
