Arizona-based physician Dr. Jane Orient joins Dr. Jay Lehr and Tom Harris to discuss the dangerous, unnecessary, and costly over-prescription of medications and medical procedures in the United States. In this interview, Dr. Orient focuses especially on knee replacements, a medical procedure that she says is being used far too often for middle-aged patients who should, in many cases, simply lose weight to lessen the stress on load-bearing joints and other body parts. Dr. Orient also discusses the dangerous implications of the over-prescription of mood-altering drugs and the unfounded push for universal vaccination against COVID-19 and other diseases.
Dr. Jane Orient is the executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons and the President of Doctors for Disaster Preparedness. She was the recipient of the latter organization’s Edward Teller Award and many other awards and honors from various organizations. Dr. Orient is the author of many books, OpEd pieces, and scientific papers and, on December 8, 2020, testified before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on treatment for COVID-19.
Join Dr. Jay Lehr, Tom Harris, and guest Dr. Jane Orient in this week’s episode of The Other Side of the Story to learn how, by overprescribing medications and medical procedures, doctors and health bureaucrats are leaving patients susceptible to a range of serious side effects that may lead to ruined health.
