After 90 plus days of saying she would go, The Vice President has finally made it to the border. While the liberal media are seemingly impressed by her visit, Irene Armendariz-Jackson isn’t. Jackson, who is running for the 16th Congressional District in El Paso, Texas, tells “After Dark With Rob And Andrew” that Harris and GOP members should have already gone to the border in El Paso. She explained to the hosts the crisis at the border just didn’t happen overnight.
Armendariz-Jackson said she had sounded the alarm for some time about the crisis, and it has only gotten worse under Joe Biden. She said the Republicans have to do more than just show up for a picture opportunity like Kamala Harris and other Democrats to solve the border problem. She suggests Republicans spend time in the community and “support the candidates running for office” so that the people living there will know “we are serious about the problem.”
Irene Armendariz-Jackson is of Mexican descent. She is a lifelong El Paso resident with deep roots in both El Paso and Ciudad Juarez. Her parents were Mexican immigrants who became naturalized citizens of the United States. Irene said she learned from them the values of faith, strong family ties, and hard work. Her father was employed in drywall construction, and her mother earned both a Bachelor’s degree and a Masters’s degree in Social Work, dedicating her career to working in the Pediatrics Department at Texas Tech Medical Center. She has been married for twenty-five years to a United States Navy veteran, who is also a border patrol officer for twenty-three years. She received an undergraduate degree in Business Management from Howard Payne University, and has earned a Masters’s Degree in Government with a concentration in Law and Public Policy from Regent University. Armendariz-Jackson is a realtor and small business owner. She and her husband have three children and three grandchildren.
