We dismiss opinions that do not reflect our beliefs. Humanity has evolved from the purpose of survival and growth. The key component to our survival is the most dangerous of our decisions – trust. Each day we learn more about the world around us and make both conscious and unconscious decisions regarding the information presented to us. In our workplace environment, this can lead to a happy and successful environment or an unhappy and divisive company.
Stories that grow outside of our mainstream news sources are often deemed as misinformation or conspiracy theories. This bias to label is also part of our conditioning. If we accepted all information, all the time, we would be in a land of confusion. As alternative media rises to global popularity, the amount of information available is unimaginable. This new form of media is creating tension, distrust, and people to dig further into their camp of belief. We are increasingly becoming silo’d without the ability to listen to anything outside our worldview.
The scientific method is now often labeled as a conspiracy theory. Those that ask questions that are not part of the official mainstream media narrative are often seen as a threat. Instead, we should celebrate and clarify information. While not all questions are of equal weight and sincerity, those seeking truth and verification are important. A blind trust enabled corruption and dictatorial views. Can you imagine if we never listened to the hypothesis that the world was round?
Society is conditioned to fight back against views that challenge the mind to think in different terms. Our brains prefer comfort and security. Deviation from the norms will result in a real-life termination of friends. We are a community-based species of life. There are those of us who want to accept governance and those that want governance and contracts to be explained and earned.
In the case of Covid, we silo’d mainstream science from the scientific method and voice of the world. We labeled disinformation quickly and eroded trust in mainstream medicine and news networks. As the Twitter files continue to bring corruption and tampering to light, we see a corrupted system that gave preference to topics and truth.

Humanity cannot ignore sound methods of discussion. Continuing to stay close minded and not listening to one another will soon lead us to conflict. Our confirmation bias must be challenged to be understood. We have two ears and one mouth. Let us listen to our brothers and sisters twice as often as we speak to them.
